She glanced over the alarm clock, which was indicating it was exactly 7:00am.

She groaned as she pulled herself up. These past few weeks have been great for Valerie.

They almost made her feel like everything was okay, although she knew they weren't.

She let her warm feet feel the coldness of the bare ground, brushing a strand of her hair away as she walked to her full length mirror.

Stopping in her tracks, she took a moment to examine herself.

She quietly sighed because she knew what was to come.

She started with her face. Staring at her brown locks she knew there was nothing more unattractive than her eyes. They say the most beautiful aspect of a girl is her eyes.

But Valerie strongly disagreed to that, she thought that was merely the ugliest feature of her body.

She then stared at her hair. Her hair dully fell over her shoulders, passing her chest, reaching her waist.

She loved having long hair, and she thought that was the only positive thing about her.

She stared at her wrists, as she started to remember horrible thoughts.

* Flashback *

I glanced at my wrist nervously and glimpsed back at the item that was placed in front of me.

A razor.

I shake my head.

No.

I can't do this.

This isn't like me.

I'm against these kinds of things.

Hurting myself will only make things worse.

Right?

People say that it helps mend the anger, but will it help me?

It's July 2nd

The day after my parent's death.

I've been constantly telling myself that nothing I do will help.

That nothing I say will help.

My parents are dead.

And there's nothing for me to do.

My parents went through a lot of pain for me.

And it's time for me to feel that pain.

I grabbed the razor tightly, and placed my entire hand over it.

I skinned it over my soft skin.

I took a big gulp before I proceeded.

* End of Flashback *

She wiped a tear away from her eyes.

It's officially been a month, and she's been completely obvious of what had happened recently.

She stared at the picture of her parents, with their hands locked together.

They looked so peacefully and happy. The complete opposite of Valerie.

She had been recently moved to a proper room, after Mr. and Mrs. Beadles apologized.

She was still taken aback from their generosity.

She nervously picked up the picture and softly kissed it.

"I love you mom and dad" She whispered quietly.
