Chapter 3- Hurt

"Hey wait up, we are partners you know?"

"Can't you just go do you and I'll do this and give you credit for it?"

"You really think I'm just some sexy dumb jock huh?"

"Sexy ? Nope! The other two ? Yes pretty much"

"We'll I'm so sorry to disappoint and burst your bubble, but I'm not just some dumb jock and that's a really low blow coming from someone like you, my grades are very important to me, I maybe a jock but I still need my grade to make it to college, thank you very much"

I debated in my head for a few seconds wether to respond or just keep quiet but I did the unthinkable and I spoke

"I'm sorry Chad, I didn't mean to offend you"

"Oh ye? Well you did and I'm sorry too, sorry that you got trapped with me for a whole semester, I'm sorry I was partnered up with someone who thinks so little of me"

I think I really hit his button because he seems really piss

Shit I really need to stop thinking that everyone is the same and stop judging books by their covers

I just stood there staring at him, his ocean blue eyes held that same emotions my sister's held this morning. His eyes screamed the word 'HURT'.

I tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out, I also tried to smile; but every muscle in my face ached from the emotion his eyes now held. They were no longer saying hurt; but instead there was a mere darkness in his eyes, the type that appears only when you are trying so hard, but others won't let your past just be your past.

I know that emotion too well, kinda like when I was that girl and decided to change. At first others still treated me like I was still her; and it hurt like crazy. Then when they finally accepted the NEW ME it was all better.

I'm becoming the very same persons I vowed never to be like. I think however I just made the Bad Boy pissed and I'm about to pay dearly for that.

"Uhhh...Ummm, I .. I ... I, did...didn't mean to offend you; I swear" I said stammering in fear.

His eyes still holding that darkness in them. I just felt like I wanted to go head first into any passing vehicle.
