Chapter Five

Nora's P.O.V

"My son? What do you mean my son?" Peter said shocked.

"Yes, your son." I said pulling Patrick up to a standing position with me.

"What? How? I don't understand." Peter said. I have him a slightly irritated look.

"How did Isabella Cullen have her child? We had sex." I said to him. My children's faces turned up.

"Mom, gross." Dale said to me. Emmett and Peter looked at him surprised.

"Mom?" Peter asked, "Is he my son too?" Dale responded before I could.

"Sorry, old man, you only get one. My father is actually that guy right there." Dale replied pointing at Emmett. Emmett's face filled with shock.

"I have a son?" He whispered, then a big smile broke out on his face. I nodded and Emmett rushed over to Dale, pulling him into a hug. Dale smiles too, hugging his father back. I smiled at the exchange. I looked over at Peter, who looked like he was still in shock. The smile dropped off of my face when I noticed Kat running down the hallway, I could feel the waves of anger and sadness flowing off of her. Julian quickly followed after his sister.

"Kat! Julian!" I called after them but they kept heading in their destination. I sighed deeply and moved to head after them, but Dale and Patrick stopped me.

"We got this Mom." Dale said, pulling away from his father.

"Talk to your mates and we will talk to them." Pat said and they headed out the room, no doubt following the smells of their siblings. I sighed deeply and planted on the couch. I rubbed circles in my temples. I just didn't know what to do. I stiffened when I felt my mates touch me. Peter put a comforting hand on my thigh and Emmett started massaging my shoulders. I sighed, because I missed thier touch so much. I felt my myself starting to relax. Emmett gave the best massages. I felt Peter kissing my jaw and I moaned lowly. I quickly realized the situation and pulled away from them both.

"Nora." Peter said but I shook my head and headed across the room.

"No!" I snapped, becoming angry. "You didn't look for me! You got back with your ex-wives!" I yelled. Before I met Emmett, Peter, and Jasper all those years ago, their wives had run off with other men. Though they were broken hearted, the three men knew that those women were not their mates. They were sad and alone, that was until they met me. I met Emmett first, at a coffee shop I worked at actually. He was there using the wifi when I noticed him. I ended up bumping into him, spilling my coffee on him and cutting my hand. I didn't know he was a vampire then, but he had no appeal to my blood. That's how he knew I was his mate. We didn't really talk after that but he kept showing up. We shared long glances from across the cofee shop. Though we never once spoke. One day he came in with two friends, Peter and Jasper. They later told me Jasper wanted to test his control. Peter was visiting and wanted to see the girl Emmett always talked about. That was when the other two realized I was also their mate. A fact that shocked them all.

I will never forget the day I officially met them. It was the same day I found out they were vampires.

-Flashback-

I had to stay really late at the coffee shop. I didn't live that far, just a couple of blocks. I decided to walk home when I was attacked by some thieves. I was stabbed in the abdomen right before they took off with my purse and phone.

"Help!" I tried yelling out, but it came out weak. I could feel myself becoming weaker as the blood poured out of my body. I felt someone lift me.

"Don't worry, Darlin'. I got you." A lovely deep voice said with a southern accent. I would've swooned if it were any other situation. I looked up to see a man with short brunette hair and slight scruff.

"Peter, she's lost a lot of blood." Another voice said. I turned my head to see a blonde man standing next to a muscular one. These were the guys from the coffee shop. Knights in shining armor.

"We need to get her to Carlisle now!" The muscular one said. The brunette one holding me looked down at me and back at them.

"Why don't we just turn her?" He asked.

"Only if we can't save her, now let's go." The blonde one spoke.

-Flashback End-

They brought me to Carlisle who ended up saving my life. Which I was grateful for. Though being a vampire is nice. I was glad to be prepared for this life by living around vampires for the next year.

"We were lonely." Emmett said pulling me out of my thoughts. "You betrayed us and left and we were lonely."

"Lonely?" I asked quietly, fuming with rage, "Lonely! You left me without even hearing my side of the story! With a note that you sent with that lying piece of shit you call Edward! You couldn't even say it to my face! I was lonely! You left me after a year of filling my life with love and joy! Something I hadn't had in a long time! I was by myself and you knew it!" I screamed. I was so angry. I wanted to break something. I wanted to rip someone apart. After staring at them with so much anger and hate, I felt myself cooling down. I dropped to my knees as sadness took over me.

"I'm so sorry." Peter said, taking a step toward me. His expression held how much hurt I felt. His emotions were showing sorrow.

"Please don't touch me." I said activating my newly developed power. Peter ignored me and put his hand on my shoulder, effectively shocking himself.

"What the hell?" He groaned from the ground. "Your power, it's like Kate's."

"I have the power to absorb the ones around me. So in the field today, I absorbed all the powers in that field." I said quietly. Emmett and Peter looked at me shocked. "That is why the Volturi kept me around after I became a vampire. I hold a lot of power in this coven because of it." We sat in a sad silence before Emmett's pocket started ringing. He pulled a phone out of his pocket.

"It's Jasper." Emmett said, looking at the caller ID. I scoffed and stood up.

"I'm going to check on my children." I said and walked out the room, leaving behind my two guilt ridden mates.
