Chapter 4:The Alpha's Mate

Walking to the Alpha's office was horrible. I couldn't stop thinking about what he wanted to talk to me about. Maybe he new I was next in line for Alpha in my pack and he wanted to discuss business with me. Maybe he somehow found out that Rhydian is actually my mate. But before I could think anymore I was at his door so I had no choice but to knock-with him being able to smell me.

“Come in.” Boomed a loud voice. Hesitantly I opend the door.

“You wanted to speak with me Alpha?”

“Yes yes come in come in.”

“Thank you.”

“Now I have a few questions for you startign with what is your name?”

“Hadley sir. Hadley Scott. What exactly do you want to ask me?”

“I heard that you are next in line for Alpha and that if you don't find your mate then you will become Alpha. Is this true?”

“Yes.”

“Well then I would like to tell you that if you have any questions I am here and you can always ask me.”

“OK. Thank you sir.”

“Call me Mason.”

“OK.” that's weird. An Alpha telling me to call him by his first name?

“Well. If you'll look at the time we must be going.”

“Going where?”

“Outside my dear.”

“Why?” But he was already out the door.

Instead of going outside I went and stood on the balcony in the Alpha's office. I didn't understand why we were going outside. Then it hit me when I saw that Rhydian was in his wolf form. He is going to howl to his mate. I have to get out of here. Before I could get off the balcony I heard the dreaded howl and I started to feel weird. The heat. Crap that means I am his mate. No. This can't be happing I have to get out of here.

As I was running through the door I heard claw nails on the marble of the balcony. Crap! He found me.

I stopped at the door and turned around. When I looked into his eyes I couldn't help but think one thing. No. And that was when I passed out.

What the. I'm so confused looking at the girl on the floor I couldn't help but think that something was wrong. She couldn’t be my mate. I don't even know her and she is the next Alpha for a different pack. But my wolf told me she was the one. Hadley Scott was my mate..
