Chapter 6: Partial Truth

At school I had all of my classes with Colton, I had that arraigned- one of the perks of being the Alpha- so that I could show him around and so we could be together if any pack business came up. We where in 6th period and there was five minutes till lunch and I couldn't wait. At lunch I was planning on introducing Colton to Tom, Shannon, and Hadley.

When the bell finally rang we headed to the lunch table. Tom and Shannon where there but Hadley wasn't.

“Hey guys.”

“Hi”

“I have someone that I want you to meet. Tom, Shannon this is my friend Colton. Colton this is Tom and Shannon.”

They all said hi to each other.

“Where's Hadley?”

Before they could answer she sat down at the other end of the table, as far away as she could get from me. I don't know why it's not like anyone knows we are mates except Colton.

“You were right. She does look like trouble and she is hot.” Colton whispered in my ear. Before I could tell him to shut up Hadley jumped from the table and ran out of the cafeteria. I didn't go after her because I didn't want people to think anything of it.

You were right. She does look like trouble and she is hot.” I heard Rhydian's friend whisper in his ear. I knew when he said that that he knew that we were mates. I couldn't stay there anymore so the first thing I did was jump from the table and out of the school. The worst part was is that I knew the person who said it and I was not happy. His friends know him as Colton but I know him as Patch's brother that went rouge 10 years ago. He used to be in our pack but then he left and no one knows why. Then last month he had to come to our pack to train to be the Beta of his pack.

When I finally got to the woods I started pacing around. I can't believe he told him. I haven't even told Shannon, who I have been friends with since I was a baby, that he was my mate, because we promised not to tell anyone.

*snap*

I heard a twig snap breaking me out of my thoughts. When I looked in the direction of where the noise cam from I regretted it the minute I did. It was none other than.... Colton.

Great

“What do you want Colton or should I say traitor.”

“Look I'm sorry that I left but I had to.”

“Well you could have at least told me you had to leave. I would have understood.”

“I know. I'm sorry.” he said it like he actually means it. Which he probably did, since what happened right before he left the pack.
