Sometimes it's better to give up something you want rather than losing someone who has lost everything.

My friend, with confident smile and a witty reply up her sleeve has lost everything, everyone dear to her.

Maybe, it was her mistake, or maybe it was theirs. Maybe it was fate. But alas! Life is all about 'maybe'.

It has been more than a month and I can still see her thinking, pondering over what went wrong that she had to lose her bestest friend. I can see her faking those talks when she seems to be interested, but behind those eyes, are playing millions of memories.

I know that every corner of the school, every grass of the field and every pebble of the roads reminds her of the girl she lost.

It hurts, doesn't it? Losing someone who meant everything to you?

But she pretended to be strong.

She lost her love even before gaining him. Maybe he loved her, maybe he didn't. Will she ever know?

And now that she started living all over again, she fell for the same person I liked.

Eden.

Maybe I don't like him that much, maybe I don't like him at all.

But this time, I won't let her lose.

I'm giving up on him, for our sake.
