APOLLOS' POV
Shade approaches me, smile plastered on his face.
He chirps, "I was only spotted by Sharon, who assumed it was you. I overheard a conversation between them as I left."
I nod, and pat Shade on the back for a job well done.
I ask, "Can you do me a favor?"
He nods, "Of course."
I ask, "Can you take my place at the school? I can't have Libby coming after me. You know as much as I do, as we have one mind."
He nods, cheerful.
He observes, "Ever since our power ups, us Shadows seem much more useful. Don't you think?"
I nod, and advise, "I'd advise not attempting trickery on Lance and Sharon. They'll prod your mind, and they know how to get what they want. They know how to tell Shadow from Rider. Just tell them not to tell Libby. Also, in the event she does ask you out, you can go. Just, don't say anything too givy away."
He nods, and takes off for his trek back in wolf form.
It no longer stings when they leave, becuase they're pretty much separate people..., just like extremely close friends you share a mind with. Some Shadows even have become different people completely, and aquire dragons. They call themselves Shadow Riders, and can get all the same powers as normal riders do. They're actually alot stronger, and can be invisible.

I sometimes wonder if it hurts, to have your Shadow break away from you.
Pandora warbles, "At the rate that crazy Shade's going, we'll soon find out."
I sigh at the thought of loosing my alpha shifters.
Then Syo appears out of no where.
He seems different.
He smiles, and hugs me.
Why is he hugging me? This is a military base. Not a summer camp.
He smiles, and his appearance shifts to a very cat like human form.
He has black and gold hair striped hair, and seems stronger and taller than I am.
He whispers, "You have given me a life beyond the blasted forest. Thank you, Rider Apollo."
I gape, and ask, "You became a..."
He  nods, and replies, "A Shadow Rider. Shade is procrastinating his departure, mainly becuase he says he has a tie to you or something."
I nod and explain, "Wolf curse?"
He nods, suddenly understanding.
He shakes my hand as his eyes turn a green colour.
He's now completely seperate from me. I'm glad for him.
I ask, "Are you going to the school to get a dragon?"
He nods, and transforms into a tiger. He bounds after Shade.
My bobcat offers, "Hi."
I reply, "What's up, Wi?"
He replies, sheepish and scared, "Seeing as Syo resigned, may I assume the Alpha position?"

I reply, "I don't see why not."
He thanks me, and a burning fills my heart.
The other Shadows sigh, hoping to one day become thier own people.

Wi asks, "Is there anything a Shadow should know about being an Alpha Shadow?"
I warn, "You'll be shifted alot more now, and the main alpha when I break this F-ing curse."
He nods, swirling irises full of amusement.
I try calling him all the way forward.
He balks, then strides forward.
He sits down, like an obedient dog.
I feel my forms shift into that of a bobcat with those swirling irises of colour.
I trot down to Pandora, and sit by her nest as a bodygaurd.
A few hourse later, I hear a frantic howl.
What?
I run towards it, and find Shades' throat gripped by the kings' mit. I growl, and secretly gaurd my blade.
He looks between us, and sneers, "I guess I have the pleasure to kill you twice."
I pull my sword, growling.
I see Shade look at me in recognition. Something else also hints in his eyes.
Fear? No, Shade isn't afraid of the king. Who is he afriad of?
A voice echoes my mind, "The angry Shadow Rider. Who else?"
I turn, expecting to see Syo there, but no onee occupied the stony trail winding up to the mountian top.
I ask, "What Shadow Rider?"
Shade looks at me, and looks at the king.
He whispers, "You are."
