APOLLOS' POV.
I run to my room, and find Shade there.
I exclaim, "I found who I'm bonded to."
Shade excliams, "Great! Who?"
I whisper, "The Dragon King."
Shade gapes, "That's why you bear the Mark?"
I nod, and exclaim, "He says I'm still his heir, if he can find me. I just need to find where he lives and go there with Libby."
He raises his eyebrows, and asks, "With Libby?"
I nod, and reply, "If that tips her off, we're freeking golden!"
He nods, and I pack my stuff.
I find Lance gripping his chair nervously.
I ask, "What's up?"
He whispers, trance like, "I can't be King of the Fays. I can't be King of the Fays."
A small mark is on his arm, the Mark of the Fay King.
I pat him on the back, but he moves to kill me.
I leap back, drawing my twin samuria swords.
Each has the Mark of the Dragon King imprinted near the hilt.
I see Lance leap away.
He gapes, "You're the lost Shadow? People have been looking for you for twenty five years! I see somebody already found you, and I see you found Shade."
I nod.
Libby rushes in, and slides to a stop.
Shade disappears, afraid of Libby.
I walk up to her, and she looks confused.
She asks, in wonderment, "Ares?"
I ask, "Who's Ares?"
She hugs me.
Arg.
I look at Lance, but he gives me a thumbs up.
She exclaims, "I know not your name, but I reconize that suit! That suit is unforgettable, you know!"
I hug her, happy.
Then, my fedora clatters to the floor.
Libby lets go, and covers her mouth.
Tears stream down her face, and I feel guilty.
She hugs me, and screams, "APOLLOO! YOU ARE SUCH A JACK@$$!"
I hug her back, and twirl her in a circle.
I whisper, "I know."
She punches me, but it doesn't register.
She asks, "Did you do those Dream Weaves?"
I nod.
She asks, "I thought you said only Shadow Riders can do those?"
I nod, and whisper, "I'm a Shadow Rider of the Dragon King. He's looking for me."
She asks, excitement bubbling all over, "Can I come?"
I take her hands, and exclaim, "Of course! I was about to ask!"
She yips in joy and rushes to go pack.
Worry fills my heart, and I ask, "What if she expects the old me?"
Sharon comforts, "She won't. She had a crush on Wing Boy, but was too busy being hopeful to ask him out. She thought you were still alive. Now, all three of her strange mystery men have merged, and she doesn't need to make a choice! She gets all three. Trust me, she doesn't want anything else. She's spent many nights venting to me about it while you play heroic vigilantee prince."
I feel hest creep into my face.
Sharon bursts out laughing.
I grab my fedora, as Libby runs out with her bags.
Star is close behind.I call Pandora and the hatchling.
It appears with a young girl at her side.
The girl asks Pandora, "You called?"
She replies, "I was just making sure she is okay, but I see she's in capible hands now."
The girl nods, then disappears.
Libby mounts up, and I leap onto Pandora.
Our dragons hook our bags on their claws, and lift them like thier paper clips.
We fly beyond the school.
I see the trees zoom by, and get an idea.
I must've been a wolf Shadow, like Shade. He should remember my howl.
I turn wolf, and Libby joins me.
We stand on our dragons shoulders, with our back legs resting on thier legs.
We raise our heads, and call.
I hear screaming, and people and dragons roaring.
I see a bola, and see it headed for Libby.
I use an air whip to push it back down.
Libby thanks me, and we howl like the raging winds.
I see an arrow wizz by with the Mark, and signal to howl louder and fly higher.
We howl louder, and soon Libby leaves me to the call.
I hear a familiar cry stop the arrows and the bolas.
Then, an arrow hits Pandoras' face.
She roars, and takes off.
It has a message, and I read it after removing the arrow.
It reads :
Dear Prince,
To call your father, you must find the howling point. An enchanted weeping willow rests there. It tells us you have been there, but it can't tell when."
I hear Libby ticking places off with Weeping Willows.
I cry, "THE SCHOOL!"
I leap off Pandora, and spread my wings to fly.
I flap faster than Pandora and Star combined.
They squeel and rush after me, outraged that I dared to race a dragon.
I flap as hard a possible, euphoric.
Soon, Libby is flying beside me.
Not thinking about it, I flap faster.
I call, "RACE YAH!"
She smiles, and we take off racing. We flap harder and harder, and our dragons turn into tattoo.
I ask, "Since when have you been a Wint?"
She growls playfully, "Yesterday."
I smile, and use a few tricks to get her aquaintted with all the cool features of our wings.
I unleash my claws on my wings, and notice how clear they are.
I hear Libby tell me about the dream Shade wove.
I tell her that it was a strong weave, if she couldn't tell the difference.
Who'd he practice on to get that good?
Shade mumbles, "The Dragon King. Listen. I gotta tell yah something."
I ask, "What?"
He replies, "The Dragon King., he's our father. We are his Shadows, yes. But we are his sons. Chrill isn't our father. Our moher is Juliet, and she made us Shadows to protect us. When you broke away, I became your Shadow. I'm your eldest brother, Apollo."
What now?
