*Calum's P.O.V.*

"So. I'm listening." I said and shut up waiting for her to speak.

So many questions...I had so many questions in my head, they wanted to escape my mouth but I knew I need to let her speak. She had some things to explain to me.

I can't fuck up again...

I need to admit literally don't even know what to think about this anymore.

What is her job? Where does she live? Is she gonna really say the truth?

These were my thoughts as we were sitting on my black couch, afraid of how this conversation would turn out. She looks around us at the few green plants that I got just to give a natural look to the room.

They had flowers, pretty, pale red flowers, they were as red as Lilith's lips and the drops of water on their petals were as bright as her eyes.

I focused back on the black-haired girl that was sitting next to me, her green eyes lit up as the sunlight reflected in them. I looked at her waiting for her story.

I just couldn't wait anymore. What is she about to tell me?

"Go ahead." I spoke and she seemed so lost in her thoughts that I needed to clear my throat to get her attention.

She looked at me with an expression that I couldn't figure out. Like she would think about what to say. Like she would plan out a monologue.

I waited, silence filling up the room for a few minutes. Those minutes were enough for me to explore her beautiful features with my eyes: her long lashes, the little birthmark under her lower lip, her perfect hair and so on. But one thing I observed that made me frown, a few light colored stretch marks were laying on her left wrist. They were faded and barely visible.

I found those beautiful too because they were a part of her and showed how strong she is. Then she spoke.

"My...my job is to protect you. That's why I know that much about you." My jaw dropped slightly. What does she mean with her job is to protect me. Is she an other bodyguard I didn't know about?

I doubt that.

Her slim body looked so vulnerable in her peaceful state. Her tiny hands were sat in her lap, one over the other. She was so small.

Legs crossed, hair tucked behind her ear, her light blue dress ended just above her knees. She wore a silver ring on her left hand and a silver necklace around her neck. I could go on with describing her until tomorrow and I wouldn't get tired of it. For me...she's... perfect.
I can look at her for ages and still wouldn't find a flaw. She was flawless...

Strong in her own way but vulnerable in some people's eyes, fearless in my eyes but in her eyes she was weak, a beautiful vision in the sunlight for my dark eyes and a canvas for the sun's eyes.

She was art.

The way she talked, the way she walked...

I snapped out of my thoughts as she snapped her fingers in front of my eyes.

"Calum, you're okay?" She asked.

"Uhm, yeah. About this 'protecting me' thing...Did management send you here?" I could feel my heart shatter in pieces from the fear that she'll answer with a yes.

I liked her since I first saw her, but if she's working for me than we can't be together. It'd destroy both of our jobs because we'd put so much accent on our relationship.

Get yourself together Calum...

*Lilith's P.O.V.*

Hearing Calum's thoughts made me wonder. Did he mean all of this? Or at least a single word?

...perfect...

That is the word I didn't believe. I always heard it.

You have a perfect body.

You have such perfect hair.

Your eyes are perfect.

Everyone used to think I was a "perfect" girl with a "perfect" life. That was until I committed suicide...

Will he take me seriously? Especially now that he saw my scars? Will he think that I'm a psychopath and take me to a psychologist or just tell me to exit his life?...

I felt my throat tighten as if my body was getting ready to cry. No, this can't happen to me. I need to hold back the crying.

I need to tell him and after that when he sleeps I can let all of it out.

But will I be able to hold it back until then?

I gathered all my strength and let out a deep breath.

I wish I could have more time to make it up. To think through, how would I tell him, what would I say to a certain reaction...

But I didn't have time to think about this, I had to tell him. Now or never Lilith...

"No. Management has nothing to do with this." I said. I could see relieve on his face.

Here goes nothing.

I hope he will react well and won't throw me out of the house because as you know I have nowhere to go, except to a hotel, but I wouldn't be able to protect Calum and who knows what could happen to him as long as I'm away.

As you can see, he is practically digging to find danger...

So I need to tell him all. I need to tell him who I am and maybe tell him my story. I never told my story to nobody because they just didn't care.

But I feel like Calum is different. I can be myself around him and my job...my job feels like I was practically destined to spend my whole time with him.

So if I'm supposed to do this, I'll do it the right way, without lies, without any twists or hidden facts. I'll tell him straight away.

"So. Who are you?"

"You wouldn't believe me..."

"Please tell me."

"I'm your guardian angel."

*Calum's P.O.V.*

What the heck? Is she lying to me? This can't be real. Someone slap me so I can wake up...
