I slowly opened my eyes, I could hear a deep, growling coming from the end of this wide and damp hallway. Where was I? Everything felt somewhat ethereal.

"Come...closer." A voice growled.

The sound of its voice was like an earthquake, shaking the ground I was standing on. I walked forward through the empty, dimly lit hallway until I reached the end, there was a cage, a big cage, the bars were like girders. Whatever was in that cage must've been huge.

"Closer..." The voice growled.

I looked up to see Crimson eyes staring down at me. "Wh-what are you?" I squeaked in fear.

"Me? I am you." It growled in response.

The immense creature leaned forward into the dim light. "You!" I gasp, it was the demon, the demon that was living inside me.

"You think a simple seal will stop me? My power is beyond your recognition." It grunted as it slammed it's monstrous claws against the cage bars, shaking them and the entire hallway.

I screamed in terror, jolting up from my bed, I was dreaming, it was all a dream. My head was pounding, I rubbed my tired eyes, wondering what the hell was going on. 'What am I going to do?' I thought, placing my hand on the burning seal on my stomach. I eventually climbed out of the bed and changed my clothes (I called home to get some clothes shortly after I first traveled with The Doctor). I made my way to the main console room to see The Doctor sat down reading a book. "Good morning." I greeted him. "oh brilliant you're awake!" He says as he pulls his head out of the book, He stood up, placing the book on the floor by where he was sitting. "How did you sleep?" The Doctor asked with a smile. "Uh, good, I slept good, had a bit of a bad dream but nothing too bad." I say, lying through my teeth. The nightmare had terrified me. Was it more than just a bad dream, was the demon really trying to talk to me or was I looking too much into a simple nightmare?

The Doctor walked to the console a began flicking switches and fiddling with toggles, the TARDIS making its usual sounds (Have I ever mentioned how much I love those sounds?). "So, I've been thinking." The Doctor said, glancing up from the console to look at me, "I know a place that might interest you." He continued. I leaned against the console and replied, "oh?" As I started to look at the console screens. "It's a planet filled with incredibly peaceful creatures who I think you might love." He explained, walking around the console to stand next to me. "You don't judge anything do you? You look for the good in everything, you're kind and you love life and every form it takes correct?" He says while placing his hand on my shoulder. "Yes that is correct." I reply, curious as to what he was building up to. "Go outside." He commands while signalling his hand to the doors. I sigh and made my way to the doors and opened them up. I was way too tired to play these games.

What I saw changed that instantly, it was almost too beautiful for words. Snow covered mountains and canyons as far as the eyes can see. It was honestly the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen. The creature that greeted us was, well frankly, it was adorable. It had a human like body but with an egg shaped head, tiny little eyes either side of its wrinkly nose and tentacle like things dangling where it's mouth should be, I guess you could say it had an octopus body as a face. Underneath the tentacles it had a thin white wire connecting to a white orb that it had attached to its prisoner like suit. "They're called the Ood, Most people call them ugly or vile creatures. They're a peaceful race and people have used that in the past as a reason to make them into slaves, because they're obedient and placid" The Doctor said from behind me. "That's horrible." I reply in a sad time, staring at the magnificent creature in front of me. The Ood lifted up the white orb and it began to shine as the Ood spoke, "Hello Doctor, It's a pleasure to see you again." The Ood said in very lovely voice before attaching the orb back to its suit. The Doctor said they'd been slaves in the past, is that why they were in prisoner clothes? "Hello, Ood Sigma!" The Doctor greeted him with a smile, "this is my friend Jessie." He added while stepping out the TARDIS and closing the doors.

The Ood greeted me and turned to walk to the cave that was in the distance. I loved their voice, It was very posh, peaceful and gentle sounding. I adored the Ood already and I didn't know much about them. Me and The Doctor followed Ood Sigma into the cave, I was talking so excitably about the Ood to him, explaining how I loved their voice and how they looked so innocent. The Doctor chuckled as he looked to me, "I knew you'd like them, what about the planet? You like it here?" He asked, smiling at me like an idiot. "I love it! It's gorgeous here, a bit cold but the view certainly makes up for that." I said to The Doctor while breathing into my hands to warm them up. He twisted his face as he looked at me, "what?" I asked him. "nothing." He said in response as he gently took my right hand, holding it as we walked through the cave to keep it warm. I must've been as red as a cherry.

After a little while of awkward hand holding and walking deeper into the cave we eventually arrived at a small circle of Ood. These ones looked different. They weren't in prison clothes, they were in robes and instead of white orbs they had small brains that they held in their hand (The Doctor called them their hindbrains) with a fleshy umbilical cord like cable attaching it under the tentacles (to their forebrain apparently). The Ood who I assume was the one in charge looked different to the rest, he didn't have an egg shaped head, he had the same face as the rest but at the top of his head was a big brain, which I'm guessing was his forebrain. The Doctor mentioned to me that this one was called The Elder.

The Ood on the floor who were circled around the Elder separated so we could join. We both sat down and The Doctor looked to me then to the Elder. "What can you tell me about her?" The Doctor asked. The Elder looked at me, blinking a few time before lifting up his hindbrain, "she is a normal girl, although she has a great evil within her that is listening very intently to us." The Elder replied with his gentle voice. "Do you know what this evil wants?" The Doctor asked. "It wants to take physical form but it cannot do that while there is a seal in place." The Elder explained. The Doctor asked more questions, most mainly regarding my safety. The Elder seemed convinced that the seal wouldn't hold forever but it is holding the evil force back. The Elder then explained that a cleansing would be the only way to rid me of the demon, not just any kind of cleansing would do though, it had to be a full cleansing that would destroy and recreate every cell in my body. Would it be painful? Very. It would consist of having my body destroyed and then put back together, of course it was going to be painful. I'd also die in the process and then once my necessary organs were functional again I'd come back. That kind of cleansing has been outlawed on every single planet The Doctor could think of because of how brutal and inhumane the process was. Nobody needed this kind of cleansing in billions of years according to the Elder so finding someone who could do it would be a real challenge.

Hearing about what needed to be done scared me to the core. The Elder told me to hold hands with the other Ood in the circle, I did as commanded. All of the Ood closed their eyes and I could feel a warmth flow through my body from my hands, were they giving me something? The Doctor who was standing up now and behind me told me they were fixing the already damaged seal and we're giving me a peaceful subconscious to help slow the process of the damage next time. I felt the warmth stop flowing once the Ood all opened their eyes and let go of my hands, "you shall be okay for now." The Elder said to me. The Doctor helped me up and we both thanked the Ood for their help. Ood Sigma then walked us back to the TARDIS and we exchanged goodbyes. Before stepping into the TARDIS I wrapped my arms around Ood Sigma, "you're an incredible race. People may call you ugly but I think you're the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. Please don't ever let humans enslave you again, you're more than what they think, you're incredible." I said to Ood Sigma. He lifted up his white orb, "Thank you friend of the Ood, we will cherish you in our hearts along with The Doctor." He said to me, placing his orb back on his suit. I smiled, "and change out of those clothes, you're no longer prisoners." I told him as I stepped through the TARDIS doors.

I walked up to the console to The Doctor, "I love them." I said grinning widely. "I know, they are brilliant aren't they?" He replied grinning back. "Right!!" The Doctor yelled, "time to go!". "Go where?" I asked. "To find somewhere that'll do this cleansing." He said. "Oh." I hesitated. I was obviously terrified of the process, but then again if it was the only way to rid me of this demon then what else could I do but to bite the bullet and do it? The Doctor flicked switches, pulled levers and BOOM, we were on the move again.
