Chapter 33

(Jerwin’s POV)

“K-kayo  na ba talaga ni Brena?”

I didn’t see that coming. I was taken aback for a moment before I answered.

“Yes.” I replied to her, almost a whisper. I know I’m a jerk being in a relationship with the person I

don’t love. But hindi naman kami pwede ni Kate, since I’m her kuya. I’m only a ‘kuya’ in her eyes.

And I don’t want to ruin our good relationship now with my selfish feelings for her.

For a moment I thought she’ll gonna cry. I saw her gripped the spoon tightly.

“B-bakit…”

“What do you mean ‘bakit’?”

“No… ehehe… never mind. A-ah kuya, magtagal pa ba tayo dito? May pupuntahan pa kasi ako

ngayong importante. Hehe…”

She’s acting weird.

“Bakit, may nangyari ba? You’re acting weird Kate.”

“No, I’m okay. Yeah, I’m okay so don’t worry about me. Hehehe…”

She’s really acting weird.

(Kate’s POV)

Teka… kelangan kong umalis sa harapan ni kuya ngayon din. Di ko na mapigilan ang sarili kong

umiyak. I have to get out, NOW.

“Sige punta na ako kuya, salamat. Don’t worry I’m not angry or anything about that night. Sige

ingat, bye.” dali-dali kong sabi habang nagmamadali ring sinuot ang bag sa balikat at tumayo at

lumakad agad palabas ng Café.

“Teka Kate-! Wait!” I didn’t listen to him hanggang sa makalabas na ako. Buti na lang dumating

yung waiter for the bill kaya di agad nakasunod si kuya.

I have to get out of here fast. Tapos may green sports car na huminto sa aking harapan.

“Need a ride princess?” Iñigo said.

Hindi na ako nag-alinlangan pa at sumakay agad sa kanyang kotse. At humarurot agad ito paalis

sa lugar.

I sighed, relieved.

“Thanks Iñigo.” Wheeeeeeeeeew~!!

“No problem princess. I guess we’ll be going now to the hospital?”

“Y-yeah.” and after that I sat quietly on the passenger seat.

Surprisingly, tahimik rin si Iñigo habang nagda-drive.

Kumurot na naman ang puso ko nang maalala ko ang sagot ni kuya.

“K-kayo  na ba talaga ni Brena?”

 “Yes.”

Nggh~! No, don’t cry Kate. ~>___<~

Nagulat ako nang biglang huminto ang sasakyan just a few distance away from the hospital.

“You know… it’s okay to cry.”

And as if those words are my cue, I immediately burst out crying like a child.
