(Kate’s POV)

 

“K-Kate… this- wait!”

The moment Jerwin speaks, that sent my adrenaline to kick in and I immediately bolted up right on

my feet and then turn to run as fast as I can. I don’t know where I am heading right now due to my

blurred vision cause of my non-fucking-stop tears.

But I’m sure as hell that I’m not going back to the direction where the party is still being held. I ran

on the opposite direction towards the emergency exit.

I don’t know how much time I spent running and my feet’s aching now from running on heels using

stairs. When I realized where I am, I sat silently on the gorund, splayed my legs on it and looked up

on the stars while still crying. I’m having hard time catching-up my breath right now with all the

running and crying until I arrived here at the roof top.

I closed my eyes when the cold air brushed my wet face and that made me sleep and also due to

exhaustion.

It felt like eternity when somebody slightly tapped my face to wake me up.

“… cess…” I couldn’t make out what that person is saying. I’m too exhausted to move a muscle

and I don’t think if I can stand on my own right now when my feet has been overused from running

who-knows-how-many-floors I ran through the stairs with my heels. And surely I can’t make myself

open my eyes. It’s been worn out from crying and the lids are just so heavy to open. So I remained

seasted on the ground like a still doll, no life at all.

But I managed a moan in response to that person. I felt that whoever that person is, carefully

carried me on his arms. Wala na akong pakealam kung sinuman ang nakapulot sa akin dito. Wala

na akong pakealam kung anuman ang agagawin ng taong ‘toh sa akin. Bahala na siya sa gusto
