Chapter 4 - A Phone Call Never Hurts

(Joe's POV)

I woke up the next morning at 2am thinking about Lauren. I took her hand yesterday at the starkid get-together party last night and it seemed that she liked it, I think she really likes me! I wanted to be more than friends with her, and I hope she does too because I really want to be something more, I think I may even love her. Oh well, I don't know how much I like Lauren or why I woke up so early... Anyway, I should call her later, we never set up a date to hang out.

I looked up at the clock, 2:36 am. Ugh it's still early and Lauren wouldn't be up till like 10-11. She sleeps forever.

(Lauren's POV)

For some reason today I woke up at 3am thinking about Joe. I never wake up this early! And I never usually wake up thinking about someone, I guess I really like Joe, I may even love him. Should I call him!? Maybe he'll get my call, he sometimes wakes up early...we never did plan our hang out and I really hoped that our hang out would turn into a little date. I giggled to myself a little bit and pulled out my phone.

Should I call him? No. What if he is asleep? What if he doesn't wanna talk? What if it goes to voicemail? What would I say in a freaking voicemail!? What if I wake him up? What if I bother him!? Lauren! Stop freaking out! Just call him, you don't know till you try. Well... Here goes nothing... I tapped "Joe My Bestie💕" in my contacts to call and second guessed my taping. *click* NO! *clicks off* Lauren you just called him! Just try again! *click*

Soon I heard a voice that seemed like he had been awake for an hour also debating to call or not sense he answered pretty quick. He sounded happy to see that I called.

(Joe's POV)

Oh my god! She called me! PICK IT UP FAST! *click* "hello!?"

"Hi Joe. I'm sorry if I woke you...-" she said as I interrupted.

"Oh no no, I've been awake it's fine" I said still happy that she called.

"Oh okay..."

It went silent for a while so I broke the silence, "hey we never planned our hang out-if-if you wanted to hang.. soon..."

(Lauren's POV)

"Yah! Yah of course. Um.. When are you free? When do you wanna..hang..?" I said happy but calmly.

"Anytime is good...um...how about tonight?"

"Oh. Um.." YAAAAAAYYYYY! Where should we go!? Ugh. I'll just let him decide! "You decide where to go, I don't really care. It's just a hang out."

(Joe's POV)

"Just a hang out" I repeated with a sigh mostly to myself. "Okay great, I'll pick you up around....seven?"

"Yah perfect. Can't wait, well, if we are doing something at seven well then I should probably get some more sleep haha-" oh I loved her laugh "-so I'll see you then?"

"Yah, see ya then"

"Bye" she said happily.

"Bye...." She had already hung up.

Wow! That wasn't hard. Was it Joe? No it wasn't.... Oh man! Where am I gunna take her!? She is such a hyper out-going person with a big personality! What if I...no.... Maybe....no... I got it! We'll remember some of our old plays we did together like...um...Starship! Or AVPM! She'll like that. She doesn't really like big crowds anyway even if she is out-going person. We can just stay in a watch some movies, like our characters did in Starship...and we could also watch our plays...ah...so weird that I'll watch myself! Unless Lauren wants to do something else, I'm totally fine with whatever she wants to do...... 3:28 am. I might as well sleep more too if I get to see her more....even in my dreams.
