Celestia rubbed her eyes weariy. It was still dark out which meant that there was still time to show the twins the mirror. When she about to leave, she noticed that Claire was still asleep which was odd as she woke up even earlier than Celestia. Celestia wondered whether or not she should wake Claire too, but then remembered how tired Claire looked last night, as if she had not slept for a week. Which was weird as earlier that day, she looked fine.

Finally, Celestia decided to go without her. She made her way dow the stairs which led to the common room. She then took the staircase that led to the Boy's dormitorys. Finally, Celestia came to a long corridor, with many doors, each presumably leading to a eperate room. The problem was that Celestia had no idea which room was the Lance and Lyander's and Celestia definitely did not want to enter anyone else's room by accident.

After a lot of guessing and assumption, Celestia narrowed it down to the room at the end of the hall. 'Here goes nothing,' she muttered as she opened the door. Somehow, Celestia was able to sucessfully find the twins. They were both sleeping on separate four-poster beds, Lysander's side messier than Lance's, with books sprawled across the floor.

If Celestia thought that finding their room was hard, then waking the twins would be impossible. She tried everything from yelling into their ears to hitting them with books. Finally she was so desperate that she said, 'There is no more Treacle tart left!' As if on cue, they both woke up with their eyes wide open. 'What!' Lance exclaimed. 'Sorry, I was trying to wake you guys up,' Celestia said, still not believing that all it took was just to say that their favourite desert had run out.

Soon they got dressed as followed Celestia to the big mirror. As they wennt there, they talked about the mirror. 'So did you try touching it?' Lance asked. 'Actually, I haven't,' Celestia replied. 'Well, how could you just spend hour staring into a mirror? I mean only a narcissist would do that,' Lyander added, 'Not saying that you are one of course,' 'I know, but the mirror didn't show my reflection, it was two people that I had never met before, but they seemed somewhat familiar,' Celestia said, 'Like the mirror had an aura that just atracted you, making to just wan to keep staring at it.'

Finally, they arrived at the empty classroom. Celestia showed the other two the mirror. 'Woah,' Lysander said, examining the mirror. Celestia stood in front of the mirror, waiting to see the two people from before. They were still there, smiling at her, but this time, man had raven black hair. 'Lance, Lysander, check this out,' Celestia told the others. Lance and Lysander stood in front of the mirror and they both said in unison, 'Dad!' 'What? You don't see two people?' Celestia asked, puzzled.

They shook their heads, 'No, we see our father,' Lyander said. Unexpectedly, Lance said, 'Th-this mirror, it shows you your deepest desire.' 'What?' Celestia and Lysander exclaimed. 'How did you figure that out?' Lysander asked. 'I d-don't know how, I just d-do,' Lance replied, looking dazed, something Celestia never saw before. But both Celestia and Lysander were tactful enough to not further question him.

'So if it does show your deepest desire, why your father then?' Celestia asked. 'Our father, he's dead,' Lysander replied quietly. 'Basilisk,' Lance muttered, 'Our father was an expert on animals. He loved working with them in the wild. One day, he was facinated by basilisks and he hatched a chicken egg under a toad and the basilisk was born,' 'Ya, Mum never liked the idea, and one morning, he was frozen stiff by the basilisk,' Lysander said. The twins had told her something really important and her brilliant response was, 'Oh.'

What should you say when your best friends tell you about their deceased father? 'But it's all right,' Lysander said breaking the silence, 'He died doing what he loved and it was five years ago, we're over it, right Lance?' 'Yeah,' Lance said. But Celestia felt that there was something wrong with him but decided to let it go. 'So should I try touching it now? Is it dangerous?' Celestia asked. 'I touched it, seemed perfectly fine.' Lance said and he still sounded distant.

Celestia went to touch the mirror and once her skin came into contact with it, a searing pain shot through her arm. 'Ow!' Celestia exclaimed. 'What? What happened?' Lance and Lysander asked in unison. Celestia rolled up her sleeves to see that on her shoulder, it was bleeding. After the blood cleared up, it revealed at mark that was a design with a blazing sun and twinking stars aroud it. As far as Celestia knew, she had that mark every since she was born.

'What is that?' Lysander asked. 'It's sort of like a burn mark that never faded,' Celestia replied, at least that was what mother told her. 'It sure a very well decorated burn mark,' Lance said sarcastically, 'Usually burn marks don't have I don't know, a design. What if you're like the next Harry Potter, I mean he has a lightning shaped scar and usually scars don't look like that either. What if this mark is like when some other dark lord that-' But Celestia cut Lance off. 'First of all, I am not the next Harry Potter. Second, Harry's scar is shaped like lightning because that is what the hand movement of the Avada Kadavra curse and thirdly, I don't think we need another Dark Lord to worry about.'

'Aw, you guys are just bursting my bubble. Let's go on an adventure, solve a mystery, something. Today is a Saturday and I want to do something fun with my friends,' Lance said. 'But we have homework,' Lysander reminded. 'Fine, but mark my words, one of these days, I'm going to find a mystery and I'm going to crack it with you guys. Celestia, my assistant and Lysander, my annoying sidekick that I only allow to come because I pity him.' That made all three of them burst out laughing, but in all seriousness, Celestia already knew one mystery that she was dying too solve and that mystery happened to me her room mate.

Author's note:

I am incredibly sorry I haven't updated in so long. So what happened is that I need to take reference from the original Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone because I ned to check the time of events, but my copy of the book was missing at home and I still can't find it. I have to borrow it from the library and I am suspecting that my little siser is behind the disappearence of the book or could be that I'm just really stupid.
