Once Celestia went back to her room, as expected, Claire was not there yet. It seemed as if she was back to her past self who always mysteriously disappeared. But hopefully she would return soon. Lance was right as in a way, as in if she slept late or had little sleep, she would not really be able to enjoy the Quidditch match tomorrow morning.
Claire did tell Lance that she'll try to be there for the match and Lance had his hopes up, so if Claire doesn't come, he'll be pretty disappointed.
As Celestia was getting ready to go to bed, the door creaked open. Celestia expected it to be Claire, just like how she usually came in at random times at night from who knows where. But actually, instead was Anastasia.
'Hi?' Celestia said, surprised, 'What are you doing here?' Anastasia cleared her throat before saying, 'Mother sent us a letter a while back'-Celestia nodded- 'It was saying how we needed to stay at Hogwarts for Winter break. Well, today she made some changes and Daniel's wedding was postponed forward and we are able to go back. I just wanted to tell you that.'
Celestia was mildly disappointed that Anastasia only wanted to tell her this and not thank her for taking care of the whole 'troll incident'. Alright, she didn't exactly take care of it, but at least something was done and no one was injured. Except Snape.
Of course, Snape was injured. But honestly it was his fault. If you try to sneak a troll in, what do you expect?
Even though Anastasia wasn't the kindest person, but a simple thank you or any form of appreciation would have been nice though. Without thinking, Celestia asked, 'Do you think Snape is bad?' Once those words came out of her mouth, she regretted it.
'Bad?' Anastasia asked, with a quizzical look. 'I mean, as in if he's the evil-bad kind of person. Do you think he'd ever do anything that considers as a crime?' Celestia clarified, wondering why she didn't just say 'Nothing,'.
'Well, the five years that I had known him, he wasn't ever extremely kind or very nice either. But he never seemed like anyone who was evil. Why do you ask, seems a bit random doesn't it?' Celestia gulped.
To Celestia it incredibly relevant to what she was thinking, but Anastasia could not know that. Celestia just simply shook her head as if to say 'No reason'. 'Well, I best get going now, goodnight,' Anastasia said, leaving.
Once she was gone, Celestia's mind was buzzing with a million thoughts and theories. She really had no clue if Snape was bad at this point. But she also knew that Hermione would not tell lies either. Especially one that involves with teachers.
Deep in thought, Celestia did not even notice that Claire had come in to the room until she said, 'Hey.' Celestia immediately jolted upright. She observed Claire.
Claire looked pretty normal but the weariness was still noticeable. Also, Claire had a new scratch on her left cheek. The silver moon shining through the window made Claire's eyes look amber and as if it was glowing. It wasn't a full moon yet, but almost.
'Where have you been?' Celestia asked. 'Everywhere,' was Claire's simple response. Celestia decided not to poke her any further as they both seemed tired. She'll tell her about the Snape-observing plan tomorrow.
Celestia let out a yawn and stretched out her arms. She plonked on the pillow and she was fast asleep even once her head made contact with the pillow.
------- (wtf is this? it won't go away)
