I drive up to a large tall building. It was a really ugly brownish red, but this would be my home for this section of my life. I graduated from college 2 weeks ago and had been living with my parents since. But not anymore. I walked in the door and saw a lady sitting at a desk.
"Um, hi" I said, approaching the desk, "I'm Julia Thompson. I just rented an apartment here.
The lady said nothing as she typed my name into her computer. "Two bedroom, one bathroom." She muttered while handing me a key, not looking up from her computer. "Room 612."
I walked towards an elevator and pushed the up arrow. I walked through the hall and put the key in the lock and twisted. I was ready for my new life to begin.
I never expected when I opened that door to see a guy sitting on a couch watching tv when I opened my door. I screamed. "What are you doing here?" I asked confused. He was pretty cute.
The guy sitting in my apartment must have had the same thoughts when he saw me.
"How did you get a key to here?" He asked, his voice as hot as him.
"Uh, the girl at the desk told me this is my room." I said looking at his plaid boxers and white tank top.
"Ok. Let's go straighten this up downstairs" he said, sliding on some grey sweatpants, conveniently sitting next to him.

Downstairs, the same lady was sitting at the desk.
"Excuse me, when I got to my room this guy was sitting in my room. Are you sure that 612 is my room number?" I said.
She looked up. "That's no mistake. My manager must have forgotten to tell both of you that you would have a roommate." She looked back down and continued to type.
We looked at each other and shrugged as we headed back to the elevators.

When we were in the elevators, it was completely silent. So I decided to pipe up.
"So, I guess if we're roommates, my name is Julia" I said looking at the floor.
"Shawn." He said in that amazing voice of his.
