Reiko's (Aoi) POV
I felt accomplished and feel into a deep sleep. When I woke up it was well past dawn. I quickly gathered my stuff and headed out.
Aoi Miyamoto. I kept repeating the name in my head. I need it to be permanent, to be as casual and natural as Reiko is.
As i walked I started considering my new look. My long hair, well, I wanted to keep. But I could at least change the color.
I debated between colors and landed a light cocoa color. It was a dramatic change from my usual jet black hair, but still compliments my coral eyes.
I smiled. I had solved that problem as well. I started to wonder, however, where I would get the dye and where would I get it done.
I tried thinking of a solution when I saw and outline of a village to my right. I changed course and headed towards the village.
Maybe I'll just get a hairstylist to do it, I'd rather not mess it up. I arrived at the gates and entered freely. I began asking around where I could find a salon, and I was eventually directed towards a little shop in the middle of town.
I walked in to see a desk with a lady sitting behind it. I reached the desk and explained I wanted a 'change of hair'. Her eyes brightened up and hurriedly led me to a seat.
I explained exactly what I wanted and she went to work. Within an hour my jet hair was gone and cut short by two inches. She had done my eyebrows for free saying "Black and brown don't go together in this situation"
As I looked in the mirror, I felt like I was looking at a completely different person. The only thing that still reminded me of Reiko, was my coral eyes.
I rose from the chair and paid. I wandered around the village for a bit before deciding to head out.
I continued walking and within two hours I finally arrived at the gate of the leaf village.
I walked through but I stopped when the guard hollered at me. I looked over and he was motioning me to come over.
I listened and stopped in front of him. "Well I haven't seen you before what's your name?" He had a bandage across his face and spiky black hair.
"R- Aoi!" I almost said Reiko and in a panick screamed aoi. He seemed taken aback, but laughed it off.
"You're a weird one aren't you. Well I'm kotetsu, I'm one of the guards." I smiled, he seemed like a kind person. "So whats your business?"
I was startled by the question. What exactly am i going to do? I didn't have a place or a job, let alone money to support me for long. I came here expecting to find a place with the words 'free' and expecting to be paid for existing.
"Well...I ran way from home because..." I trailed off. I could in all honesty find some sympathy and live off of it for a bit while I get stable.
"If you don't feel comfortable, then it's alright maybe another time" kotetsu wore a smile and I felt at ease. "Do you have any place to stay?" Jackpot.
"No, I didn't really think this through in all honesty" I looked down trying to look fragile, innocent.
"Its alright, I might be able to help you out for a while. You see my family owns a house that we don't use so maybe-" I must have looked mortified because kotetsu panicked. I didnt expect an entire house, I expected a room or something.
But then again I need a place to start over, a place to live. I smiled and giggled. "I didnt mean to startle you, I was just amazing at your kindness. I can't believe people like you still exist."
He returned the smile. "There's a catch though. It's located outside the village and it's about a twenty minutes walk from here." I shook my head.
"For what I'm gaining, it could be an hour walk and I'd still be fine." He motioned for another guard to come over, they talked for a bit before he came out from behind he desk.
He was as taller than me, probably taller than obito. "He's taking over the rest of my shift. Shall I show you the house my lady?"
I stared at him and he stared back. "My lady?" I repeated his words. He turned red and looked away.
"Just trying to be formal that's all." He started to walk and I followed suit. As he led the way to the house, we talked. He asked me about me.
I was honest about most things and smudged on others. He told me a bit about himself. Time flew by and we arrived at the house.
It was tiny and when he opened the door, I saw it had a small kitchen, living room, one bathroom and one bedroom.
"Its not much and it's a mess," kotetsu said almost apologetically as he dusted off a shelf,"but it's something." I turned to him and bowed.
"Thank you, I'll repay you somehow." His face lightened up but then turned a deep red. I didnt understand why but, I didn't ask.
"Its nothing really, I'll leave you to it. Make it your own, maybe one day I'll be making bank off your rent." He smiled and I laughed.
He truly was a kind person, and for reasons that suprise me. He didnt ask for anything in return, didn't flirt, and didn't interrogate me.
I felt happy, at least my plan worked out somewhat. I took a small trip around the house to see it needed repairs here and there.
I began to write down what needed to be fixed and supplies I needed to make it happen.
I looked around and smiled, I had the freedom to do what I wanted with the house. I could decorate and probably plant outside.
I sighed and smiled. This was the start of a new life.

I have a plan compared to before,so I'm on chapter 17. But I need to know if you're enjoying the story or have any ideas. I don't mind suggestions or criticism, it helps either way. So yeah, just be honest with it all.
