We walked to processing, but were stopped by a guy in sunglasses and a hat running towards us.
"Wait! Wait up!" He called.
We stopped and turned. He stopped right in front of us without needing to catch his breath which slightly surprised me. He was a tall, muscular guy with bits of blond hair peeking out from under his hat.
"What's up?" I said.
"I heard about the rebuilding efforts. I wanted to help."
"What's your name?" I asked.
"We- I- uh, Steve."
I giggled. "Did you forget your name?"
He sighed. "Yeah, I guess."
"Well, Steve, we're happy to have another hand. Amy can show you the ropes."
I smiled and gestured for him to follow me.
"So, Steve, where are you from?"
"Ah, Brooklyn actually. What about you?"
"Same here. Brooklyn. Now today we're going to be boxing canned food, then cleaning up some neighborhoods. Just stick with me and you'll get it."
"Alright."
We walked into processing and the lady at the front desk gave us each a box and pointed towards our table which was filled with cans.
"Let's get started then." I sighed and placed the box next to me.
We started boxing the cans and eventually, I began to notice that Steve was going insanely fast. He looked like he was going at a normal pace at just a glance, but as I watched him I saw him putting four to five cans in at a time, and it didn't seem like he was tiring. I looked behind him and he had already finished five boxes in half an hour.
I smiled. "You're him, aren't you? Captain America."
He froze. "How did you know?"
"Oh, as if that hat and sunglasses turned you into a different person." I replied sarcastically.
He smirked. "Promise you won't tell anyone? I've been getting all sorts of reporters and press after Loki."
"Yeah, I kinda figured." I returned to boxing cans and so did he. "So, you mean I can' tell Chris, your biggest fangirl, that you're here."
He chuckled. "No, unfortunately not."
"Aw, that means he won't be able to get his five autographs."
Steve froze. "Five?!"
I laughed. "Yep, five, but only three of them are for him. The first is the one he carries around the house and shows off to guests, but it's not allowed to leave the house. The second is the one he frames in front of his bed so he can look at it every night before he goes to sleep. The third is the only one that leaves the house, he'll carry it to work show it off to his coworkers as well as his ex girlfriends and boyfriends. The other two are for his current girlfriend and his best friend."
Steve sighed and shook his head. "Jesus."
I burst out laughing and he smiled. "Don't get me wrong, he's a good guy, I just hang out with him way too much."
"Then why don't you just talk about something other than me?"
"That's all he talks about."
He sighed again. "You know, I honestly don't know which I prefer; the skinny kid from Brooklyn or this." He gestured to his body.
