A/N: Okay, this chapter is REALLY short... Whoops

"I'm telling you, Madi, I think someone is following me."

"You're just out of it. You've been working for too long. You need to take a day off."

"I'm serious I saw a pair of eyes in the bushes."

"Then it's a stray dog or something! Why would anybody want to follow you?"

"I don't know! God, stop making me question my sanity."

"Well, are you listening to yourself? You're making it sound like some sociopath is out to get you. You're on the bus with Dave. You're safe. He'll take you straight home."

"I'm not crazy." I reassured myself.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that."

I sighed and raked my fingers through my hair. "Okay, maybe I'm getting a little irrational."

"I mean, I guess I can see why you got so scared. If I saw eyes during the night in a city like this I'd pee my pants too."

"I didn't pee my pants!" I exclaimed, laughing.

"And I'm not failing Algebra." She replied sarcastically.

"Shut up!"

She laughed. "Are you feeling better now? Or do I have to get out of my PJ's for this?"

"Why are you in your PJ's? It's almost 8."

"I didn't have anything else to do." She snapped.

"You were planning to go to bed, weren't you?" I taunted.

"Shut up." She grumbled.

"Ha! And you make fun of me for going to bed early when you sleep over!"

"Shut up!" She sighed. "Are you okay now? Can I go to bed at my old person early time?"

"Stay on the line with me until I get home, then I'll let you sleep."

"Fine, but if you make me stay up for another half hour I'll personally kill you so the sociopath doesn't have to."

"Madi!" I exclaimed, eyes wide.

'Too far?"

"Just a bit."

"Sorry, but are you almost home?"

"I'm on my street."

"Good."

We pulled up to my aunt's place and Dave turned back to look at me. "We're here, tell Madison I said hi."

I smiled. "Thanks, Dave. See you tomorrow."

He groaned. "Unfortunately."

I rolled my eyes and walked inside the house. It was empty, which wasn't uncommon for a Saturday night. My dad would go to a bar and "watch the game in peace", and my aunt had plenty of friend's to spend her Saturday night with. Meanwhile, I had one best friend and spent my Saturday night cooking ramen in a microwave and drinking my dad's beers. He usually allowed me to drink since I was turning eighteen in a month and was the most responsible teenager he knew.

I was only allowed to drink in the house and I was supposed to have two beers per day. After that it was just water.

I pulled the ramen out of the microwave and went over to the couch. Then, I pulled out my phone and turned on Pandora. The first song that came on was Save Rock And Roll by Fall Out Boy. My eyes went wide.

"I NEED MORE DREAMS AND LESS LIFE, I NEED THAT DARK IN A LITTLE MORE LIGHT!" I bellowed. "I CRIED TEARS YOU'LL NEVER SEE, SO FUCK YOU, YOU CAN GO CRY ME AN OCEAN AND LEAVE ME BE!"

This was my favorite part of Friday and Saturday nights, when I could just let go and scream lyrics. I started dancing to the music while eating ramen. I spun around the living room and kitchen singing along with Patrick Stump.
