Raye's POV

I walked into the lunch room, scanning it. I didn't have any friends at this school yet, and it would probably be wise for me to make some soon. I quickly glanced at the lunch line, then shook the idea out of my head. Waiting for lunch would simply take too long. I sat against the wall, setting my focus back on my art. I'm hoping that my black and purple hair won't draw any attention to me, because the last way I want to make friends is through some sittting-alone-loser-pity-case.

Soon enough I put my art book away, hoping that my new piece would get me some attention from Mr.Dyjang. I glanced around the room once again to see a familiar face approaching me. The brown-eyed boy quickly came over to the wall, sliding down it to sit next to me. "I figured you might want something to eat. The lunchlines get pretty long in this block." He said, slowly holding out an apple for me to take. I shook my head, looking up at him. I don't need it, I'm not all that hungry. He spoke up again, this time moving his head into my field of vision. "I figured you could use a friend. Everyone needs friends, whether they like it or not." I quickly looked up at him before speaking, "I have friends, so maybe we don't need to be friends. If you're going to stay persistant on this topic, then there is nothing I can do to stop you."

He looked confused for a few moments before asking the god forbidden question. "Who are your friends? I'm not doubting your friend-making capabilities, but it has only been a day." My lie was crashing down on top of me, and I had no idea what to say now. I haven't made any friends, just an aquaintence and a assigned project partner. "There is a girl named Stephanie and your brother, Emerson." I said, hoping he wouldn't see through the blatant bullshit I just said to his face. He looked suprised at first, then stood up and extended his hand to help me up. "Both of those individuals happen to sit at our table, and I'm sure you'll fit in nicely."

Soon enough I was being dragged to their lunch table, and being seated next to Emerson. Emerson looked confused, then smiled at me. His smile is something else. I then leaned to my right and whispered something in his ear. "If they ask, we're friends. I don't care if you absolutely despise me, just please help me out with this." I leaned back over and then something weird happen, Remington's arm is around my shoulder. I looked at the other people at the table with a scared face. My shoulders must have tensed up, because I felt the arm lift from my shoulders. I then was introduced to the other guy at the table. "My name is Sebastian, and this beautiful girl right here," He said, kissing Stephanie's cheek,"is Stephanie." I mentally awed at them, before realising it was about time to leave lunch.

I had PE next, and I was absolutely dreading it. "Are you sure you want to go into PE without eating lunch?" I heard a voice say from behind me. I turned around to see that it was Emerson. I guess we have similar schedules because of our elective choices. I shrugged it off, walking into the locker room and leaving the boy to go to his respective locker room. PE went off without a hitch, other than the extreme pain I was feeling for the last twenty minutes of the session. I then, sorely, walked to the last class of the day, Helper's Algebra. I never really was all that good at math.

I waited through the entire class checking my phone to see how much longer I had in this hell. While checking for what was probably the hundreth time, I realized I recieved a message. I opened it to see what it said. It read:

'Hey, Its Emerson. Where can we meet up after school to work on the assignment?'

'I'll meet you outside the front doors and we'll figure it out then, alright?'

He responded with a simple 'Okay' and that was the end of the text chain. I was actually really looking forward to seeing him. He seems like he would be a good friend to have. The bell couldn't seem to have rung anytime later than it did. Yet, a smile reached my face as I remebered I was meeting Emerson. I walked out of the school and saw him leaning against a car. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him. He stumbled back further into the car before wrapping his arms around my waist, making it a two sided embrace. He gives nice hugs. "That was quite the greeting, not that I'm complaining." He said as we stepped out of the hug. "I really don't know why I did that. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." I said. "I get it, first days are hard. I was thinking we could try to work on this at my house. We have a room specifically for music." He said, flashing a brief smile.

"Is this your car?" I asked, curious. It couldn't possibly be his, he's only a freshman. "That's Seb's car. My ride is over there." He said pointing over to a motorcycle. He started walking towards it, then turned to say something. "I'm assuming this is your first time on a motorcycle," I nodded lightly."So you'll need to hold on tight. If that makes you uncomfortable, you can always ride with Seb." He said. I shook my head and he placed a helmet in my hands. He climbed onto the motorcycle and I climbed on directly behind him, holding on for dear life. I swear I saw him smirk when I did this, this kid will be the death of me.

Soon enough we arrived at his house, briefly followed by Sebastian, Remington, and Stephanie. "Keep low and head for the stairs." He whispered. I nodded and followed his instructions. We made it up the stairs and turned the corner into a room. "I thought you said you had a room for music, not a freaking recording room!" I said excitedly, turning towards him. He smiled and gestured to follow him. I did so and put my stuff down, pulling out the list of songs we made during second session. He walked out the door and I continued looking over the list, hoping for any kind of ideas. Then, it hit me. We could do a song by The Who. How did I not think of this before?

I heard the door open and started to ramble off my ideas. "I was thinking we could do a song by The Who. Maybe Behind Blue Eyes or Who Are You? I think we could..."I looked up at the door to see Remington standing there. "Sorry, I thought it was Emerson." He looked at me and tilted his head, his lips forming into a small, closed-mouthed smile. "It's alright. My mom is questioning him about who you are and such, so I figured I'd keep you company." He spoke, sitting on a couch afterwards. I sat down next to him and looked around the room, not knowing how to fill this uncomfortable silence. I don't think it was me making it uncomfortable. I looked back in his direction to find him looking at me. "Raye, I was wondering if you would want to maybe get dinner with me tomorrow?" He said, his eyes never leaving my mine. Maybe a relationship was what I needed right now. Why not give it a shot? "I would like that a lot, Remmy." He smiled and responded with a brief time of when he'd pick me up, then walked out of the room. After he left, I heard a brief "Why the fuck would you do that?" from someone outside of the room, whom I assume was Emerson. He walked back in the room and simply stated, "Where do we begin?"
