Kirito's POVIt was a month after the incident. It was also Asuna's birthday. I made lunch for Yui and I. Yui has really made me happy in my time of need.
"Thank you for the food daddy." She said smiling. I smiled back. "No problem." She and I ate then we both got dressed and drove to Asuna's grave yard.
I was glad that they buried her next to Suna. When we got to Asuna and Suna we both sat in the grass.
"We're just here to say happy birthday and see you both." I said putting some flowers between the graves.
Yui was smiling. "Happy birthday mommy." She said. I smiled tearing up after she said that. Then Yui hugged me.
"It's okay daddy you don't have to cry." Yui said wiping my tears. I smiled. "Yeah you're right." I said.
After a couple hours passed we got up and left. I felt like an empty part of me was filled again. And that I could move on in life again.
"Wanna go eat out?" I asked Yui. "Yes daddy." She replied. "Okay." I smiled driving to Asuna's favorite place to go eat with Yui.
It was her favorite because they had a play ground area for kids. After Yui finished her food. I sat at one of the outside tables finishing my food.
Then I saw Liz and a kid walk out and the kid ran into the playground area. Liz was walking to a table then she spotted me and smiled. I'm waved. She waved back and sat with me setting her food down.
"Hey Liz." I said smiling. "Hey Kirito it's been awhile." She replied smiling back. "We haven't talked since Asuna's funeral.." I said. "I wasn't gonna bring it up.." Liz replied.
"I know..but I have to start coping with it because she's not coming back." I said looking at the table.
Then I felt a slight warmth on my hand. I looked up and saw Liz blushing and holding my hand. This was the first time I'd felt this way since Asuna.
