One Hell Of Ball

"Do we look weird or something?" I whisper in Vylad's ear "Nah they just think you look beautiful. At that moment I could hear my heartbeat what's wrong with me?. "CADENZA YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!" Lucinda came up to me dancing with James. "So do you Lucinda same goes for you James, but I could see Chase staring at me from behind James.

"May I have this dance m'lady?" Vylad bowed then holding his hand out for me to grab, "why not" I grabbed his hand then we headed to the dance floor. "But then other girls came and two of them pulled me back letting another girl dance with Vylad. "An ugly girl like you shouldn't be dancing with Vylad" the girls snickered at me, "heh jealous much" I giggle at them "of what, you... hahaha in your dreams" the blonde laughed at me then started to walk away.

"Heya piece of advice" I yell at her just managing to keep my voice from attracting others attention, "look in the mirror before you can call others ugly" I give them my most friendly smile then turned my back on them. "Cadenza" I turned to see who was calling my name and it was Vylad who was trying to find me but was being swarmed by tons of girls.

"Oh, Cadenza I thought you were with Vylad?" I turned to see Chase who looked pretty good. "Oh yeah but I guess those girls really want his attention" I pick up my cup full of punch and started drinking it. I almost ended up spitting the drink back out, "yuck what is this it tastes funny, or should I say horrible" I put the cup down than looking up to Chase. "So where is your date?" I asked walking to a table to sit down. "Oh I decided to come without one" he then takes a sip from his cup. "Oh, your right this tastes quite despicable". "See I told you, you know to me it looks like you've been replaced as the most popular boy with Vylad" I smile at him.

"Hey is it true that your the girl who's brother got assassinated but looked like he died by an accident?" Chase said as if this was a conversation you would have with everyone. "H-How do you know that?" my hands quickly clenched. "Oh and not only that but you yourself was attacked by an assassin which was sent to kill you by your own father, or should I say fake father" Chase's eyes hardened ad turned cold.

"Who are you?" I asked slowly leaning back "well Cadenza I think the real question here is... who are you?" he gives me an evil grin, at that moment I could feel myself dozing off. I stood up fast only to be pulled back down into my seat. "What did you do to me?" everything was going blurry and dark. "I had to spike your drink so that I didn't have to fight you, the rumors say that your quiet the fighter and I didn't want to take any risks with you" he puts his elbow on the table leaning closer to my ear and said "you think that your brother's death was your fathers fault, but it's yours. If you were never born Laurence would still be alive, so do you know what you are...... you're a murderer".

At this point I was enraged so I stood up and flipped the table over, everyone stared at the two of us, "Oh Cadenza you're making a scene here, why don't you be a good girl who sits still and shuts upon command" he smirks evilly at me. I grab the knife from the floor holding it to his throat I could hear people gasp and shudder when they saw what I was doing but what made it even worse was when Chase grabbed my other hand pulling me in closer holding the knife to my throat.

The girls stood in fear while other boys tried to grab Chase to let go of me and some others cower in the corners of the room. Chase pushed all the boys off him making all of the stumble and fall to the ground I saw Vylad running but he stopped when Chase held the blade closer to my throat just piercing my skin making blood drip from my neck.

I was seriously pissed. I kicked Chases's leg which startled him causing him to stumble a little bit backward. I then elbowed his stomach causing him to lose his grip on me so I broke free. I then realized that Chase was bigger stronger and faster than me and I was at a big disadvantage. And my dress wasn't helping so I ripped it to a knee-high dress and tearing the long sleeves off please forgive me, Aretha.

If I were to beet Chase I would have to outsmart him. I looked around thinking, think, think... I got it. I stood up straight and looked at another table which had a knife on it. I ran and grabbed three knives. Before Chase could stop me I threw two of the knives at him then I ran into the crowd of kids. Chase looked around trying to find me but his eyesight isn't as good as the last guy I faced.

I purposely bumped into one of the girls causing her to screech Chase saw this and moved forward soon he was in the middle of the room directly underneath the ginormous chandelier. I only cut the rope supporting the chandelier a bit then I threw my last knife at Chase from the crowd. Chase dodged turning around to face me. At this point, the whole school was just staring at us.

Chase ran at me with the knife always aimed at my throat or stomach soon he slashed me on the left arm. Crap from the sight of blood being shed some of the school kids left running away but others stayed wanting to see the fight.

"I don't even know what those guys were talking about your just a little girl" I kept Chase to stay in the middle but then I made the huge mistake of looking away from Chase for a second, then I was tackled to the floor he then tried to stab me but I just barely moved my head dodging. I headbutted Chase casing him to jump up moving away. I got up holding the knife. "heh is that all you got a pretty boy?" I glare at him. "Are you kidding, I'm just getting started" he then charges at me but I jump onto his shoulders then jumped up onto the chandelier.

"GET DOWN HERE" Chase yelled at me "oh so your yelling at me now. I hung upside down from the chandelier, just then I could feel the chandelier just about to break just hang on a little bit longer. I sat down at him straight in his eyes. He looks down for a second just enough time for me to throw my knife. I threw the knife, it hit him on his right shoulder he yelled in agony now on his knees the chandelier was about to break so I jumped off to the side and at that moment the chandelier broke and it came down plummeting on top of Chase crushing him.

I could hear people scream, I looked back at Chase his body lifeless and I realized I had killed Chase. I knew people were screaming but my senses were all going numb and all I could see was a pool of blood coming from the lifeless corpse lying under the chandelier.

I knew I shouldn't have come to the ball. "CADENZA CADENZA WE HAVE TO GO" I know I could feel someone pulling on my arm but at the same time, I couldn't feel anything. "CADENZA!!! COME ON THEY HAVE CALLED THE POLICE WE HAVE TO GO NOW!!!!" I looked up to see... "Vylad?" he looks down at me and then he gently pulls me along leading me outside.

As Vylad led me out I saw Lucinda staring at me, her eyes full of fear well who could blame her after what she saw no one could blame her. "Vylad led me all the way to his house, he then slammed the house door open saying... "MUM DAD WE HAVE TO GO THERE HAS BEEN A DISASTER!!!!"
