[ 10 - Tragedy of a Country ]

54 2 2

the city was quiet today
people lined the streets
not uttering a word
except for sobs and cries
nothing else was to be heard
comforting pats on the back
tight hugs and kisses on the forehead
no one really knew
how this tragedy had happened
but everyone grieved in the moment
it was as if all conflict had been put to halt
the whole country was at a standstill

a tear goodbye to a loved one
a glance at an unknown
but the whole country stood together
during the attack that had occured
their people have fallen
and nothing could be done
but a new society was arising
of the strong and of the brave
through the darkness they emerge
willing and courageous

we will win this war
