Kick Five: How long until they make up

"Oh honey," Mira sighed, "I would have to agree with you, I wouldn't like that either,"

"Mira, what do I do?" Lucy asked into the phone, desperately wanting an answer.

"You don't have to do anything. I'll talk to him, maybe give him a nice beating," Mira growled.

"Don't Mira. Just talk to him," And the phone beeped, signaling the end of the call. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was Monday, which meant the start of the school week, and Lucy was dreading it. Lucy's feet padded against the pavement, her face twisted. She walked in the school doors, finding Mira. While it was true that Mira liked Natsu, (in a friendly way) she despised him when he did something out of character. Mira had noticed he was changing. Sure, Laxus was busy, but he never changed. The thought of this new Natsu sickened Mira to her core.

"Let's get to class Mira," Lucy sighed, "There's no point in talking to him anyway."

Mira was having a hard time channeling her anger. She was pissed. Natsu never would've done this to Lucy back then. Mira couldn't think of anything that would make Natsu the way he is now. He used to be so full of color, and keeping his friends safe. Now...Natsu just threw all of his beliefs under the bus; completely trashing the very existence of them. To say she couldn't believe it was an understatement.

"Lucy?" Mira asked.

"What is it Mira?" Lucy looked to Mira, giving all of her attention.

"Have...you noticed Natsu changing?" Lucy didn't say a word, she just pursed her lips together and nodded.

Lucy knew Mira hated when Natsu was like this. And to be fairly honest, Lucy hated it too. She had noticed his changing when she could only have a five minute conversation with him. She too recognized the way he couldn't care less about his best friend Gray. Lucy was horrified and pissed all in one bundle. Natsu was now stuck up and cold, and it's been that way since he got on the football team.

"He was in a good mood yesterday, that is before we left his house," Lucy explained, turning to Mira.

"That's weird. He's usually..."

"Stuck up and cold?" Lucy chimed.

"Those are the words I was looking for," Mira waved her index finger in the air.

Lucy and Mira made it to their classroom, sitting in their seats, which were conveniently next to each other.

"Good morning Mira," Mira's boyfriend; Laxus popped in.

Mira waved back, saying a simple hello. Lucy sighed, laying her head on her desk. In all honesty, Lucy didn't need to be here. She had learned the things she was learning now, last year, and it rocked her to the core. Her very being hated it all. It when Natsu came in the classroom that her rage returned. The sad part was, the rage couldn't get to the surface before she saw her boyfriend with a familiar face, in fact he was an entire squad of them.
