Kick Forty One: Preparation

"I'll start packing then, oh and Gray," Juvia started to shake, little by little. "We have another guest coming, but she- she's little. Her name is Aki, and well... Lyon.."

"What did he do to you?" Gray's voice grew dark.

"Lyon raped me."

Gray was silent on the other side of the phone, scaring Juvia.

"Gray?" Juvia spoke quietly, "Are you mad at me?"

"Juvia, I can't be mad at you for something Lyon did, I just..." Gray went silent, licking his chapped lips, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I was scared, I thought you would like at me like some kind of monster..." Juvia sighed, "I thought you would have seen me as a disgusting person."

Gray shook his head, "Juvia the only disgusting person in all of this is Lyon." Gray sighed, "You are no monster, you are beautiful, and don't let anyone tell you differently. Now, I know it's probably really late, please get some beauty rest love. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Gray, I love you." Juvia said.

"I love you too." Then, the line went dead. Silent.

Juvia sat there, letting everything that just occurred to sink into her skin. To say she was excited to see her beloved Gray was an understatement. She just hoped Gray would accept baby Aki. Juvia's eyes wandered to her finger, and the small ring incrusted with diamonds. Her lips made their way to her hand, kissing the beautiful gold band clinging to her finger.

As her lips released, her mind suddenly went point blank, only few words echoing through.

'Lucy's first love, is gone.'

Juvia sat there, remembering all the good times she had with Lucy and Natsu. How they would look at each other with such love. Once she saw them, she knew instantly, the only man she would marry would look at her the same way. But now Lucy's man was gone.

Dreaded, she reminisced when Natsu introduced her to Gray. When everything was about parties, and weird make out sessions in the janitor's closet. But her mind then wandered back, the man to thank for all of this is now preparing for burial, and Lucy's mind has completely shut down.

Lucy's sobs were silent on the outside, but screaming out on the inside, her voice was gone, she had no way to communicate. Natsu.... her long gone light, the only man that had told her she was plenty more than enough, more beautiful than the countless amount of flowers that rest upon every plant. The man who had saved her time and time again, the one who had sacrificed his own life so she could live peacefully.

Her heart felt like the many differentiated pieces of glass shards. The amount that the little small one you can't even see. It shattered. When the spring of her senior year kicked her ass, and she thought Natsu wasn't Natsu anymore, and she thought it was the worst, she underestimated the possibility of him being gone.

And now she couldn't even begin to think of how awful life was going to be, without him. As her dead eyes watched the ceiling, pondering every thought she could of how she missed him so, the lights flickered on, and her blue headed friend came in.

"I'm going to pack your suitcase," Juvia whispered softly, "We're going home to give our respects.

Lucy couldn't do anything but nod, all of the tears that streamed her cheeks like a salty waterfall, had now made puddles, her nose red, and the often uncomfortable silence that overwhelmed every possibility that he might have even still been alive.

"Mira," Juvia sounded.

"Yes Juv?" Mira whispered, sadness evident on all features.

"She's gone, I think we've lost her." Juvia said sadly.

"She just needs time, when's the funeral?" Mira's eyes were filled to the brim, a tiny tear shedding it's way down her porcelain face.

"Yeah, okay..." Juvia walked around Mira, into the small room she and Aki had shared.

Her hands were full with clothes, diapers, baby formula, and so many shoes it could put Kim Kardashian's closet to shame. Her eyes slid down the list of all the things she needed to bring with her.

Alas, Mira packed her and Lucy's suitcases, setting them in the small living room. Her feet moved to the kitchen, making Lucy a small meal. As she made the small meal, she called Yukino.

"Hey Yuki," Mira chimed.

"Oh, hey Mira, when's Lucy coming back?"

"About that, Lucy's boyfriend was killed in Crocus, and we're flying back to Magnolia in Fiore." Mira's voice struggled to keep all of the emotion she felt out.

"I'm so sorry, please leave my condolences to Lu."

"I will, bye Yukino." Mira hung up the phone, only to dial many more numbers after that.
