Jordye, we couldn't be more proud of you and I'm positive your mother is too! Oh! Come here and give me a hug! Jordye's aunt exclaimed as she ran towards her practically squeezing the life out of her.

"Auntie Dee...?"

"Yeah, baby?"

"I. Can't. Breathe." Jordye mumbled into her chest before she finally released her grasp.

"I'm sorry baby, I'm just so excited for you!"

"Thanks auntie. For everything. Letting me live with you in between school; helping me with straightening things out with the university, all of that."

"It's no problem honey, you're family. Family sticks together."

Jordye just smiled as she continued to think and pack at the same time.

Well, one family member didn't stick with me. He stuck with my bully. But oh well, it is what is.
Everything can't be a happy endi-

"Jordye, you okay?"

"Oh yeah. I'm cool. I think it's just hitting me that I'm going to college." She lied.

"Well, baby girl it's happening and it's going to be perfectly fine. I'm gonna go and cook dinner for me, you, and Hakeem."

"Alright."

"Double check and make sure you have everything! Tomorrow is the day!... My niece is going to Dukee, my niece is going to Dukkee!" Auntie Dee chanted as she walked back downstairs.

Shaking her head at her aunt's crazy antics, she placed her last set of belongings in a storage trunk.

Yup, tomorrow is the day. Move in day.

Jordye was excited; yet, nervous. She would be attending college in a few days. She would have a new life. Make new friends. Make something of herself...

Her thoughts began to drift off as her phone vibrated.

Quinn 😆💫💯 : Jor!

Wassup? ☺️

Quinn 😆💫💯: You moving in tomorrow? 👀

Yeah, along with 3,000 other incoming students 😂

Quinn 😆💫💯: Don't play.

Lol, I'm sorry. 💜

Quinn 😆💫💯: It's cool bae, you know I got love for ya 😘😻

Bae?

Quinn 😆💫💯: Yess, bae. Deal with it 😌

Fine, geesh 😂

Quinn 😆💫💯: I can't wait to meet you in person! We def gone link soon as you get on campus.

Now, who in the world said I wanna see you? 👀😂

Quinn 😆💫💯: 😑😑😑😑

Kidding! 😭, I can't wait to meet you too ☺️ You're the trillest person I've ever known; the way you gravitated and stayed persistent with me is my favorite thing about you. We've only know each other for a couple of months and it feels like I've known you for a lifetime. You probably don't know what I mean by this, but thank you for being my lifeline. 🙊💕

Move In Day

"Jor! Calm ya butt down. I'll get to your dorm when I get there! This bag is heavy as fuck, just to let you know!" Hakeem trudge behind a hyper active Jordye as she was already waiting by her door.

Soon enough Hakeem made it to the room furthest down the hall while giving Jordye a side eye the entire time. However, she didn't mind as she turned the key and opened her dorm door for the first time. A light breeze hit her face and with that all the nervousness washed away. She felt right at home.

After unpacking and settling into her dorm, she felt as if she was one with the world. Jordye was soon informed that her roommate would arrive a few days after her and that took even more weight off her shoulders. Save that nervous panic attack for another day.

Hakeem and Jordye soon began to walk around the campus as she tried to get a feel for it all; he didn't want her to go out by herself just yet, since she had just gotten there.

Hmm. Quinn hasn't hit me up all day. I wonder what's up? Jordye thought to herself, then brushing it off. She was too excited to think too much on that right now. She was at her dream school!

Somehow; someway, Jordye and Hakeem ended up in front of the gigantic doors of the famous Cameron Indoor Stadium. Both being sports fanatics immediately ran up towards the doors to get a peek inside.

Unfortunately, a large group of mass stopped them dead in their tracks. The force of the mass was great enough to knock Jordye directly into the ground. The mass was human.

"Ayo, my bad shor-.."

The mass was Quinn Cook.

"Oh shit! Jor?"

"Hey, Quinn..."
