The Apocalypse

Sammy's Vine

Tony grabbed the tents, Robert grabbed Joe, and everyone ran. We ran in the high school and up the stairs.

"This way! There's a ladder to the roof!" Robert said.

"How do you know?" asked Meredith.

"Save the questions for later!"

We got to the ladder and the only people left at the bottom were me, Robert, Joe and Meredith. Meredith started climbing.

"Go. I'll help Joe." I said.

"No!" Robert said.

"Yes! Just go! Their almost at the top floor!"

"Fine."

Robert started climbing as I helped Joe up the ladder. Once Joe was safely on the roof, I finished climbing up. That was when a zombie grabbed my ankle. I screamed.

"Chloe!" Joe yelled.

He reached his arm down for me to grab. I wrapped my fingers around his wrist and he pulled, but he wasn't strong enough. Robert grabbed my other arm, and together they were able to release me from the zombie's grip and up onto the roof.

"Chloe are you okay?" Joe asked.

"Yeah. Thank you." I said hugging him tight.

He smiled and hugged back.

"Uh, guys you might wanna check this out..." Michael said.

Everyone walked over to the edge of the roof where Michael was standing.

There were hundreds- no. thousands of zombies approaching.

"That's alot of zombies..." Eddie said.

"What do we do?" Fifi asked.

"I guess we die." Robert said.

"What?" Joe asked.

"Well what are we supposed to do?"

"I dont know but-"

"Exactly, because there's nothing we can do."

"Well we cant give up. That's not what we're doing."

"Wether we give up or not, WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?" Fifi screeched.

 "We have to find a way off of the roof!" I said.

"How? There's zombies everywhere!" Meredith said.

That was when, in the distance, we heard "AIAAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAI!!!!!"

We all turned to see Sammy singing on a vine towardsthe roof. She jumped from the vine, both feet landing on the edge of the roof. "Hey guys!"

"Sammy! I thought you were dead!" Meredith said running to Sammy.

Even though Meredith and I were best friends, Sammy was her other best friend. They were friends before I knew either of them even existed.

"I thought the same about you until I saw you on the roof!" She said. Then she turned to face the rest of us. "What are you guys even doing up here anyways? There's a zombie apocalypse right below your feet!"

"We didnt see them coming until we were up here already!" Robert said. "Plus, it's not like they can climb."

"But they can eat..."

"What?"

The building started shaking slightly.

"What was that?" Grace asked nervously.

"I dont know." Leila responded.

"It was the zombies!" Sammy said.

"What?" Michael asked, confused.

Sammy ran to the edge of the building that Michael was at. "Look!" She said pointing at the ground below.

Everyone walked over there quickly. The zobies were starting to eat the walls of the school.

"If we stay up here for too long the building will collapse while we're still on top!" Joe said.

"We have to get off of here!" Sammy said.

"How?" Robert asked.

"The vines!"

"Okay."

Everyone grabbed a vine and we had to swing from the roof to a tree house. Actualy it was more like a tree condo.

Sammy grabbed the first vine. Then Eddie. Then Tony. Then Michael. Then Fifi. Then Amy. Then Meredith. Then Joe. Then me. Then Robert.

The tree house was coming more and more visible as we swung closer.

"Guys I dont know how much longer I can hold on." Michael said.

"Just keep holding on!" Eddie yelled to him.

"I'm trying."

"Dont let go bro!" Tony said.

That was when I heard Michael scream.
