Chloe's POV

"Are you okay?" I said to Joe.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

Sammy walked over to everyone and giving them shiny silver bags. Then she came over to us and gave one to each of us. "Here."

"What's this?" I said.

"Food."

We opened up the bags and found an apple, potato chips, boxed fruit punch and a piece of cheese.

"Where did you get this?" Meredith asked.

"There's a zombie proof safe house about a quarter mile away. My dad works there, and I volunteered to help find people to bring them back there."

"So you risk your life to save other people?" Eddie asked.

"Me and some other people too."

"Wait a minute." Robert said. "If there's a safe house so close to here, then why are we in your little tree condo thing?"

"Because there's eleven of you guys, ten now that Michael is gone, and there are only eight spaces available. The place isn't big enough."

"So two of us..." Leila started.

"...will have to die?" Grace finished.

"Unfortunatley yes."

Leila and Grace hugged each other.

"We know what to do." Grace said.

"You do?"

"Yea." Leila responded.

"What is it?"

Leila and Grace walked over to the edge of the platform.

"Leila? Grace?" Sammy said.

But they kept walking.

"What are you guys doing?" Eddie asked.

They kept walking.

"Answer me. Stop walking away." She said.

They didnt stop.

"Grace? Leila?" Meredith asked.

They were only one step away from the edge of the platform.

"Grace?! Leila?!?!" I said, getting out of my chair.

They turned around.

"What are you doing?"

They waved at all of us.

"What are you guys doing?!?!" Eddie asked.

They turned back around and grabbed each others hands.

"Grace! Leila!" She said.

They stepped forward.

"GRACE! LEILA! NO!" She screamed their names, but it was too late.

They fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Everyone ran over to the edge of the platform. But Eddie stepped on a loose plank of wood and fell with another loud thud, landing righton top of Grace and Leila.

"NO!" Amy yelled.

That was when Fifi came out with a now calm Tony.

"Hey guys! Do I smell potato chips?"

We all turned around trying not to look sad. But I guess we werent very convincing.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

Her and Tony walked to the edge of the platform. Fifi's mouth dropped open.

"EDDIE!!" She screeched.

She tried to jump off too, but we were able to hold her back.

"LET ME GO!"

"NO!" Tony said.

"LET ME DIE WITH MY BEST FRIEND!"

"IM NOT LETTING YOU DIE!"

"JUST LET ME GO! LET ME FUCKING DIE!"

Tony picked her up over her shoulder. She gave a pretty big fight, kicking and screaming to be let down, to be let go of. he took her back inside.

We looked back down at the bodies. Zombies started walking towards them. We heard the sound of flesh ripping and I instantly looked away. I can't handle things like that.

I squeeed my eyes shut, wishing that this was all just one big night mare, wishing it could all end right now. But it was real.

Joe hugged me, and I hugged him back. But that was when I realised that by hugging him, nothing was supporting him. he fell backwards on the platform taking me with him.

"Sorry." I said.

"Its fine." He said smiling.

I smiled in return.

That was when i heard a terrifying, spine tingling, bone shattering cream come from inside.
