Dan Howell

Dan's POV
Black jacket, white t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. I look in the bathroom mirror one more time.
Do I look depressing enough so people will stay away?
Hope so. I better.
The bell that signals that first period is over, and immediately when I walk out I'm washed in a sea of Human and Neko scent. I push my fringe back, because it looks awesome like that, and spot my friends waving me over from Caspar's locker. I wave back and make my way past two girl Nekos looking at me with desperate eyes, one finger on their neck to show they want to be claimed. I give them a 'sorry, no' smile before sliding next to Peej.
"Hey, Dan. Have you heard about the new Neko?" Caspar immediately asks. I give him a look. "Caspar, I've already said, no Neko here interests me enough to claim."
"What about Cat-"
"No, I definitely don't want her."
Peej butts in with wide eyes. "But, Dan, this new Neko is just, oh my god."
I raise an eyebrow at him. "I thought you liked that Chris one?"
"I do, but I saw Chris talking to him and he as a very sweet, attracting scent. But also Parents' Shield."
Caspar groans and hits his head on his locker. "He has Parents' Shield? Damnit."
I open my mouth to say something, but right as I do, Chris shows up to say hi to Peej. His brown eyes are up with excitement and his tail is swaying fast, showing he's excited. "Hi, Peej!"
But it's not him that gets my attention, it's the small, pretty boy Neko with fluffy black and blue ears, and a black and blue tail. His eyes are a startling yellow, green, and blue, but they're startling in a good way. His scent is so sweet and intriguing. He looks so adorable in his pastel outfit, with his tail wrapped around his waist and his ears slightly down to show he's shy.
I almost coo out loud at how cute he is.
Peej's face lightens up with Chris gives him a small hug with the end of his tail slightly tickling his chin.
"This is Phil, he's the new Neko everyone's talking about." Chris explains and gestures Phil closer with a flick of his tail.
Phil walks up and shyly smiles at us. "Hi, I'm Phil." he says quietly, his minty-flowery scent interesting both Caspar and I.
"Are you claimed?" I ask softly and not in a needy way. Phil's ears slightly prick up but he quickly forces them down in a submissive way. "No."
I only nod and give him a reassuring smile, hoping he doesn't think I'm the kind of person that'll try to force him to claim him and take off the Parents' Shield.
"Let's sit together at lunch!" Chris blurts out, blushing when Peej nods directly at him.
"Oh my god, Peej, just claim him already!" Caspar yells. (Which causes a few people to look our way.)
"I'd like to sit with them at lunch." Phil says, his tail tightening around his waist when all of us turn to him. I give him the nicest smile I've ever given anyone.
"Alright then. Let's sit together at lunch."

Phil's POV
Lunch was actually pretty fun. We basically just talked together about nothing and everything, Caspar and Dan kept watching as my tail and ears moved positions to show I was getting less and less shy. I swear Dan kept looking at my outfit and my thigh highs.
I walked back home with Chris, pestering him why Peej hasn't claimed him yet, and he just said he doesn't know.
I'm currently sitting at the table munching on an apple while blankly staring at a chair. I stare at random objects when I'm deep in thought.
"Uncle Philly! You're back!" a cute, heartwarming voice squeals from the front door and I smile at Lia. She runs forward and makes grabby-hands.
"Lia, you're six. I can't always put you on my lap." I laugh and lift her up, immediately putting my tail around her stomach so I feel like she won't fall.
"I don't care if I'm six. You will always carry me." she simply states before grabbing her own apple from the fruit bowl in the middle of the table.
My older brother walks in and smirks at me. "So, any Humans trying to claim you yet?"
My left ear twitches. "I think some humans like me. Two, Caspar and Dan, were watching me during lunch. Dan is really nice-looking."
My brother laughs. "And not Caspar?"
"I mean, he's cute, but eh to me."
Lia reaches up and strokes my ears, causing a small purr to come out. "I'm sure you'll find someone that you like, Uncle Philly."
I peck her cheek and she gives me her baby-cute smile.
"Yeah, I'm sure I will too."
