Baekhyun scanned the books piled on the shelves as he hum a tune of Angel by EXO. He was about to take the book but suddenly had a contact with a delicate hand. He immediately removed his hand and looked at the owner of it which made him nervous, it was Taeyeon.
"Im sorry, its just. . . . do you need that book?" Taeyeon asked.
"Uhhm, yeah Suho hyung recommended it for me to read, I've been looking for it almost an hour now." He said with amusement in his voice. It was indeed fate having to bump to the schools goddess. Taeyeon was also looking for it too. I want it, now. She thought
"Oh, well i guess I have to wait for my turn." Taeyeon said while looking at Baekhyun with her puppy eyes and slightly pouted lips. The guy was taken aback looking at Taeyeons cute expression. Without thinking any further, he handed the book to her.
"No, its okay, you can have it, i'll just look for another book" He said smiling.
Well that was easy. Taeyeon smirked on her mind
"But you had it first, I would feel bad" She handed the book back to him but Baekhyun insisted for her to have it. With a happy satisfied face Taeyeon took the book.
"You're not only intelligent but you're also kind, thank you Baekhyun-ssi". She said still smiling. Baekhyun felt his cheeks heat up from the compliment. Its not everyday that the goddess would speak compliments.
"I-its nothing actually, I uhh I have to go, bye" and then he left. He doesn't want to embarrass himself looking all flushed red.
"That guy was really fond of blushing" Taeyeon said to herself. "Oh well at least i got the book maybe I should head home too.
Baekhyun was walking towards his car with his undying smile that he almost feel creepy about himself. This day was really great.

Days went by too fast that it was already friday, the class lend their ears towards the teacher who was explaining the criteria for the incoming quiz bowl competition; 3/4 of the class was almost excited because of the competition but they already have a hunch on who's gonna win, it would be Kim Taeyeon or Byun Baekhyun. The smile on Taeyeons face was inevitable because she has now the opportunity to crush Baekhyun's dignity by winning the quiz bowl. Meanwhile Baekhyun was just genuinely happy to have an activity.
"Hey Baek, are you thinking of asking Taeyeon to be in your group?"
"W-what? no, were not even close to just ask her casually." but deep inside he was hoping so that he could hang out with her.
"Well yeah, you should be in a different group, that way 1st and 2nd place will be reserved to our section." Chanyeol happily said.
"1st and 2nd will be if you wont participate" Kyungsoo said deadpanned towards Chanyeol
"Kyungsoo-ah that's too harsh, isn't he Baek?"
"He has a point though." Baekhyun said almost laughing
"Alright, that's it, come here Byun Baek!" Chanyeol said by crackling his knuckles.
"what am i? stupid? of course i wont go near you." Baekhyun laugh while running out of the room since the bell rang indicating for lunch.
At the cafeteria Taeyeon was eating alone at her usual place when she noticed someone stands in front of her.
"Taeyeon-ssi" the guy said and so she craned her head towards the guy. She guessed that he was a junior. The guy was tall with broad shoulders and quite a sight.
"Yes, what is it? Taeyeon politely asked even though she wants him out of her sight because he disturbed her precious lunch.
"Have a date with me, this weekend." He arrogantly said, he thought no one would resist his charm. Taeyeon was so pissed, just because of this she has to stop eating.
"Im sorry but i cant. I have to study for the upcoming competition." I cant let my attention divert to useless thing as this . Her first priority was to bring down Baekhyun.
With that, the guy left while the other students who heard their conversation (mostly guys) was happy. How dare him casually asking her for a date, one student said. Bang Minah heard it and she was pissed. Why does she always get the attention that i want? She walked towards her table with her other friends following her.
"Two faced." Minah said as she was passing Taeyeon's table. The latter knew that it was directed to her. But it doesn't affect her anymore.
One of these days, you'll regret everything. Taeyeon said looking at Minah's back.
