After a week, it was finally the quiz bowl competition, it was the day that Taeyeon was praying to come quickly, she can't wait to see Baekhyun's face full of defeat. For a week she would bump unto Baekhyun but she just ignored his presence so that she can focus well.
The competition will be participated by different sections and year levels. Each group will compose of 3 members per team, every section has the privilege of having 2 groups and so their section has Taeyeon's and Baekhyun's team. She doesn't really care who her teammates are as long as they don't get on her way then they're good. She was teamed up with Tiffany Hwang, an american made girl, she's intelligent but talks too much and then there's Kwon Yuri a very timid girl. She felt they can be trusted, someone you can easily open up with but then again she can't let her guard down. She did it before but it broke her into pieces.
Meanwhile on Baekhyun's group was Kyungsoo and Chanyeol. He doesn't really get it how Chanyeol became their groupmate when all he did was blabber stupid things but he was thankful though because Kyungsoo was there to stop the giant. As the competition went on the other groups were eliminated.
"I can't believe it, you were really really pretty but at the same time really nerdy" Tiffany said with her California accent towards Taeyeon. Their group has made its way to the finals. There are only two groups left and as expected, its was Baekhyun's group. They were given 10 minutes break that's why they are now in the school grounds. Taeyeon was so busy reviewing while the two were eating.
"Taeyeon-ah, you shoudn't stress yourself up, there's no cash prize on the competition" true enough though but winning is everything for her. She wants to beat Baekhyun.
"We have to win, we'll have extra points for our final grade" she answered smiling to the both of them. Its was so strange that she really felt comfortable towards them.
"And i have to beat Baekhyun" she said to herself
"Uhh- what did you say?
"huh? oh its nothing, we should head back to the hall now.

It was a tight competition between the two. Taeyeon was now really irritated. How can Baekhyun smile brightly when she was so frustrated that she can't bring him down.
"When was League of Nation established?" This was the last question asked to determine the winner and as for Taeyeon she had already declared she will be held as the winner.
Buzz. . . . "October 24, 1945" Teayeon answered with full confidence.
"Congratulations, Team C! we finally have a winner. Please give the a round of applause!
Taeyeon was looking oh so happy! Finally! The competition ended on their advantage. She wants to jump up and down due to happiness but before anything else, she wants to see Baekhyun's face. She feel giddy inside imagining how devastated he would look. She can feel it in her stem that the guy will bow down to her, she was the winner after all. The MC asked the two groups to shakes hands.
Now Byun Baekhyun show me your defeated face.
"Congatulations Taeyeon-ssi, I always know you were great" Baekhyun held his hand towards Taeyeon but the latter was flabbergasted.
What's this? this is not the reaction i was expecting. Why is he smiling at me genuinely when all i wanted was to crush him, humiliate him, bring him down. Taeyeon thought while looking at Baekhyuns rectangular smile.

Maybe this is what others call as "hypocrisy". I always thought that if i win him over i will feel satisfied but its not. I felt ashamed of myself. It cant be; Baekhyun was maybe a great guy after all.
