Lucky One (Baekyeon)

"Why are you still hiding? Taeyeon said to nobody but silence engulfed her surroundings. She sighs silently and turned her back around the corner where book shelves lined up. And there she found Baekhyun hiding on one of the book shelves acting like he was looking for a book. She went near him laughing silently.

"You're like a stalker, Baekhyun-ah."

"Oh, hey there Taeyeon-ah, were you here the whole time?" He asked Taeyeon acting all innocent.

"Yes and I knew you were here too since last week, I was wondering why are you hiding? You can join me if you want." She smile genuinely at him. This time it was a real sweet smile. She became fond of the young guy. For almost two weeks now she would notice Baekhyun following her from the classroom to the library and every time she turns to look at him he would abruptly look the other way and other times he would walk away as if a debtor was looking for him. This time she was not irritated like the usual emotion she would have if a person was stalking her, she was amused that Baekhyun was just looking at her from the distance like a puppy following a new owner.

"Well- Im- uhhm- if you wouldn't mind can i sit with you?"  Baekhyun asked her stuttering, he even wondered why, he's just gonna sit with her, right? uhh right?

"Its kinda boring to be alone sometimes so yeah I don't mind, Baekhyun-ah." Again with her lovely smile she looked at Baekhyun in the eyes.

"Baekhyun-ah" why does my name sound so sweet from her mouth. This is why he love following or maybe stalking Taeyeon, She is beautiful with a heart.

"What were you reading just now?" Baekhyun asked as they sat down on the table Taeyeon was reading just now.

"Five steps to increase your influence by Susan Tardanico."   She answered not looking at him and was busy scanning the book.

Baekhyun smiled at her even though she was busy at her book. Its admirable how a girl like her (a beautiful young girl who is supposed to be hanging out with other girls doing girl thing) be addicted to books. A beautiful nerd i must say. He puts his hand on his chin while admiring Taeyeon while the latter noticed that he was being observed like a painting in a museum. She looked up and met Baekhyuns eyes which made her shy. She felt he was looking at her lovingly, is it? And the young guy slipped his hand over his chin from the sudden eye contact that made Teayeon laugh.

"You're so funny Baekhyun-ah. She laughed silently since they are at the library.

Baekhyun-ah, there it is again. Why do i love it when she speak my name? I must be crazy.

"Only for you....... i mean yeah, it's my nature. he he he." He laughed awkwardly. What? only for you? what a dummy, nice move baek, nice move. He thought.

"Uhhm, yeah,  guess i should leave, its getting dark already."She felt uncomfortable now. Only for you. What does he mean by that.

"Can i give you a ride home? We are on the same direction though. Baekhyun offered hoping she would agree.

"Wouldnt it be a bother and besides my house is further than yours.

"no, you're not a bother, so shall we? He offered his hand to her and the latter take it but as soon as they realized they were holding each others hand they immediately let go.

On their way to the parking lot they didnt talk or even looked at each other but felt comfortable with the silence engulfed them.

"sooo, this is my ride, come in? he opened the car door. It was a porsche 911 matted black car.

Rich kids. Taeyeon thought, is it even normal that a high schooler owns a car? A smile frown crept on her face which Baekhyun noticed.

"My parents insisted on me driving than commuting, i hope you dont mind? He asked concernly ate her, looking at the frown on her face she must have thought that i was boasting which is not.

"huh? uhhm no its nothing, i just remembered something.  we should go now. :)

As time passes by, Taeyeon felt comfortable having Baekhyun beside her or just feeling his presence. Baekhyun, him as a whole was my ideal self. Over the years i kept my true feelings towards my self but now i realized that its not the solution to my inferiorities. I must be brave enough to express my true feelings. I admire you, Byun Baekhyun.
