Soft Heart {Metal Mario X Reader}

It was a Saturday afternoon and you were racing with your long time friend, Metal Mario. Not many people like him, but you both seemed to be connected in a way.

"You're not winning this time!" He shouted.

"That's what you think!" You sped past him.

He growled and hit a question box. Out came a regular mushroom. He groaned and used it, only making him a couple of feet closer.

You laughed when he groaned, knowing that this race was won by you again.

He hit another box and smirked. He threw the item. You heard beeping behind you, looked up, and got hit by the Spiny Blue Shell.

"Hey no fair!" You said.

He sped past you,"Sorry my luv!"

"Did he just call me... Concentrate {Y/N}!" Your cheeks turned a bright pink.

It was now the final lap. You did a sharp turn and accelerated a bit. Then you both arrived at the anti-gravity area.

You did a trick and sped up, both karts next to each other. You looked over at him, he was fully concentrating. You then looked ahead and screamed.

Your kart smashed into a boulder.

"{Y/N}!" Metal Mario yelled. He jumped off his kart and ran over to you.

You had blood oozing out of your arm because of how you fell out the kart.

"Oh dammit..." He muttered. He picked you up bridal style and rushed you to the hospital.

"Ohhhh... Metal Mario? What happened..." You groaned.

He was sitting on a chair next to the bed. He got up,"You smashed into a boulder and flew out of your car..."

"And you took me here? On your own?"

"Yeah..."

"You're made of hard metal... But your heart is soft and pure." You smiled.

He leaned over you and kissed your forehead,"And you're beautiful my luv."

He saw you blush entirely and chuckled softly.
