Y/N sat at the edge of the hospital bed. There, on the bed, lay the love of her life.

Luigi Mario.

Why was he there? He had suffered a severe asthma attack due to the cold weather.

He didn't have his emergency inhaler with him, so the only thing left to do was call 911. And that's what Y/N did.

Now she found herself watching a sleeping Luigi with an oxygen mask on. She held his hand gently.

"Luigi?" She asked softly.

Luigi fluttered his eyes open and glanced at her. He gave her a weak smile.

"Y/N..." He croaked.

"Luigi, how you feeling?" She asked.

"My chest doesn't hurt, thank the stars. This oxygen mask is annoying though. I sound like... like Darth Vader!"

Y/N giggled as Luigi did an imitation of the famous Star Wars villain.

"Luigi, are you gonna be okay after this?" Y/N asked.

"I believe so. As long as I carry that inhaler with me everywhere I go..."

He did get slightly scolded by his asthma doctor. Y/N sighed softly and glanced around the room a bit.

Then she noticed a missing noise...

She looked at Luigi and screamed. A nurse ran in and gasped. She pumped up the oxygen in the mask and got the defibrillator.

"One two three!" Another nurse said as the first one used the machine.

Y/N watched from a corner, terrified. Another nurse walked in and escorted her out of the room.

Y/N had been in the lobby for only thirty minutes when the first nurse came.

"Y/N L/N?"

"That's me," Y/N stated.

The nurse walked to her. "I-I'm sorry ma'am but... he didn't... make it."

The world around her froze. She could feel her stomach drop.

"B-but, you used a defibrillator..." Y/N recalled.

"Yes, but that wasn't enough to revive him. I'm so sorry..." The nurse said very quietly.

Y/N then asked,"Can I see him?"

The nurse nodded. Y/N ran to the room and opened the door. She went back to the edge of the bed and threw herself over Luigi.

"Luigi... please..." She let the tears fall onto his pale face. "Don't leave me."

The problem was... he was already gone.
