"Ugh, are you serious?!" I exclaimed, letting out a sigh as I slammed the refrigerator door shut. I groaned and smacked the door in frustration, taking a moment to finally regain my composure.

"Hajime, did you really drink the rest of the orange juice?!" I shouted down the nearby hallway.

"So what if I did?" A male voice called in response, a playful tone in his voice. This only added to the anger that manifested inside me. Of course my careless older brother would drink an entire gallon of orange juice in a days' time. "I don't even understand. We have other kinds of juice!"

"You drank all of those too..." I scoffed, approaching the threshold to his room. I peered in and saw him lying on his stomach in bed, laptop positioned in front of him. Sure enough, the whole gallon of orange juice say empty on his nightstand, along with multiple other empty cans and bottles.

"You can't even use cups?!" I brooded, Hajime still focused on his computer.

"Whatever, sis. I'm sorry," he said half-heartedly, reaching into his pocket to pull out a crumpled ten dollar bill. "Use this to buy 2 more gallons, and I promise I'll leave 1 alone. You can even keep the change."

"Gee, thanks," I sighed, snatching the bill from his fingertips. "How long was the lap dance you had to give to get this guy?"

"Shut up," he snapped. "Just go get your fuckin juice." I turned and almost flipped him off as I stormed out of his room, slamming the door behind me.

Hajime and I had been living together for a while, as our parents were barely ever home. They worked in sales, and as the years passed, they spent increasingly less time at home with us to the point that we'd be lucky to see them once a month. They still cared for us, giving us money and calling us daily, but no one can really say that we had the best relationships with them, per say. It bothered me like hell when I was younger, but I guess I had gotten used to it.

I let out a small sigh as I locked the front door behind me, braving the warm summer weather. I then began to walk down the sidewalk, spaced out and in my own little world. It wasn't even 10 yet, so I was still groggy and disoriented.

Suddenly, I found myself standing at the intersection in front of the supermarket. Without thinking, I started to cross the street. However, with one quick glance up from my feet, I realized--

"Mortal, do you desire to end your life in such a careless manner?!"

I turned behind me and saw... Perhaps the most peculiar looking man I've ever seen in my entire life. He stared at me with a scowl on his face, his arms folded in disgust.

God, where do I even begin? Even though it was eighty degrees, this boy was wearing a long black coat, skinny jeans, and a long plum scarf which reached his knees. In addition, his arms had two white bandages on them, completely covering his skin. His hair, which was slicked away from his face, had large black and white streaks in it. My eyes were drawn to his face, which was perhaps the most perplexing thing about him. He had two different colored eyes; one black, and the other red. And to top it all off, he had a long gash that extended across his face diagonally.

"Um... Thank you..." I muttered, unsure of his to respond to this strange boy.

"You should not thank me, lady of recklessness!" He shouted, suddenly running his hand across the loop of his scarf. "You should thank the all seeing eyes of San-D!!"

"What the fuck?! Is that a hamster?!" I screamed, staring at the boy in horror. In front of me, he had extended a bandaged arm, showing me a small orange hamster which sat peacefully on the palm of his hand.

"No, not in the slightest!!" He exclaimed. I watched in horror as three other hamsters revealed themselves, all either in his sleeves or scarf. "These are my four dark devas of destruction!!"

"What?!? How even..." I stammered, unsure of how to reply. "Who even are you, anyways?!"

"My name is GUNDHAM TANAKA!" He shouted. "Remember that name, for one day it will rule the world!"
