Gundham merely chuckled at my confusion, striking elaborate poses as he began to speak.

"Hahaha, dear mortal (y/n), would you require some dark magic to bring you to your destination?" He questioned, folding his arms in an attempt to create a smug look. He just ended up looking a little ridiculous, and I held back a giggle. While I was curious as to why he randomly disappeared for a large part of the summer, I was just happy to be able to spend time with him again.

"Yeah, I would like that," I choked, in an attempt to conceal my amusement. He abruptly grabbed me by the wrist and began to pull me behind him. "Gosh! Why are you going so fast?"

"We may not make haste, my dear mortal! For the dark lord Gundham Tanaka cannot wait for anyone!"

I glanced at the clock, noticing it was less than a minute before class begun. He's just obsessed with being on time, I concluded in my head. Though trying to understand him and his mannerisms was like a large puzzle, the picture only seems to become more appealing the more you work on it.

When we made it to the classroom, Gundham nearly kicked the door open. I let out a shocked yelp, certain we had just terrified at least a dozen students. However, the classroom was borderline empty--not even the teacher was around.

"Greetings to you!" An accented voice exclaimed. We turned and saw a girl standing behind us. While she sported the standard uniform, her long yellow blonde hair and crystal blue eyes made her stand out exceptionally. She gave us a small bow as she spoke. "I am Sonia Nevermind, the Ultimate Princess!"

While we both gave our introductions, I could not help but feel a small lingering sense of jealousy. While she seemed mostly harmless, her looks and charm along with her naivety seemed to appeal to Gundham. Suddenly, a bubbly woman named Chisa scurried in, stating that she was now going to be our teacher. We had to all go together to locate the other students before class began.

"Mortal," Gundham's voice called, trying to attract my attention. I glanced up and met his two-toned eyes, which seemed to show some concern in them. "You seem to be battling some demons within you. What may be the matter?"

Suddenly, I exploded. "Well, you didn't talk to me for a month, ya know? And I see you talking to that Sonia girl... look, if you don't want to talk to me anymore, then just don't do it."

Gundham stared at me with a slightly hurt expression on his face. "Mortal... is that truly what you believe? I do not desire to hex you in any way. You are a special, all powerful mortal, and I apologize for disturbing your power."

After taking a few seconds to translate his words back into normal talk, I flashed him a smile and dove into his arms. He hugged me back more confidently, spinning me around slightly. "I'm so happy... you made me so frightened!"

The rest of the day passed by in a blur, spending it talking to Gundham as we were carted around by our classmates and teacher. He let me hold onto his hamsters for a short period of time, during which I guarded them carefully. He then praised me and told me that he would let me take care of them again in the near future.

In the blink of an eye, the bell rang to signify the ending of the day. When I turned to say my final goodbye to Gundham, I was suddenly startled by a kiss on the forehead. My fave flushed bright red, as he gazed at me with a devious smile on his lips.

"What was that?" I chuckled, a tiny giggle escaping my lips. We weren't even dating yet, but I could not help but feel giddy and excited. My heart raced as he plastered another one on my forehead at the exact same spot.

"It is a hex, dear mortal," he explained valiantly. "Now that I have placed it twice, it will affect you for a longer period of time."

"What kind of hex?" I asked playfully.

"It is one of attraction," he stated bluntly. Suddenly, he lost his act, becoming flustered and trying to bury himself within his scarf. I merely burst out into laughter.

"There's no need to hex me, all though I enjoy the process," I exclaimed. "I've already suffered the affects of the hex before it was even placed."

With that, I scurried home, not turning back to see his reaction. My cheeks tingled as I ran, my heart thumping like a bass drum. I could only hope that he had felt the same way.
