I heard a groan I saw that Thomas was awake. He looked a little groggy but other than that he looked healthy.

"Thomas how are you feeling" I asked.

"Fine actually" he replied.

"I'll go get Jeff" Teresa said jumping up a few seconds later she arrived with Jeff, Newt, and Minho in tow. After inspecting Thomas he decided to go through with injecting Alby.

"Now we'll let him rest, he should be better soon" Jeff said. We all left out of the infirmary, I went to go put on my gear for Runners. I saw Thomas and Minho waiting for me at the entrance.

"You sure that you feel well enough for this Thomas" I asked.

"You worry too much, I'm fine" he smiled. I nodded and sighed he wouldn't tell me if he was hurting anyway. We ran into The Maze, Minho pulled out the thing the Thomas took out of a Griever.

"We're going to map the exit to see if it's still the same route to the exit" Minho stated. The thing started to make a strange beeping noise. We went through these huge blades and into a opening that led to a tunnel.

"The Maze didn't change so we should be set to leave tomorrow" Thomas said.

"Let's head back to get everyone ready" I said. We turned back and by the time we got to The Glade everything was peaceful.

"Hey Izzy we need to talk" Thomas said. Minho looked at him as if he wanted to say something but I mouthed 'I'll catch up with you later' he nodded and walked away.

"What"

"I got my memories back, all of them" he sighed.

"Well that's great, but by the look on your face shows that what you remember isn't too good" I said.

"We did this to them"

"Did what?"

"We put them in here. You, me, and Teresa"

"No that's not true" I said my vision beginning to get blurry.

"It is, we watched them for years in here. We put every single one of them in here" he said with watery eyes.

"Well if that's true then why are we here" I cried.

"I don't know. But I know for a fact you feel in your heart that it's true. I know you have the dreams too....W.C.K.D is good does that ring a bell" he asked.

"How could we do this to them?" I asked. Alby walked up to us looking healthy as ever.

"They already know, I told them" Alby said.

"They're going to hate us, and we don't even know why we did it" I replied.

"It doesn't matter what you did as long as we get them out of here that's all that matters" he stated. I nodded then Alby began to stare at the opening of The Maze. It was around the time they were supposed to close.

"They're not closing" I panicked.

"Get everyone to shelter" Alby ordered Thomas. I had to find Minho, he was talking to Newt by the wall with everyone's name on it.

"They're not closing the entrances, aren't closing" I stated. Before long everyone else started to notice. Then we heard the screeches, multiple ones. Grievers were entering The Glade. We ran for shelter into the hut where we have meetings. Moments later we were joined by Alby, Teresa, Chuck, and Thomas. I hugged Teresa, I was so glad she was okay. I knew Thomas would save her if I couldn't.

"Everyone stay quiet" Alby whispered. We could hear the screams of those who didn't make it silent tears streamed down my face. I felt Teresa squeeze my hand slightly to soothe me. There was a loud noise then we heard a Griever by the entrance then it crawled onto the roof. I covered my mouth to muffle my quick breaths. I glanced at Minho who was staring at the ceiling. I told him that we weren't going to die here, I have to make sure that I stay true to my word. The Griever crawled around on the roof and it stopped right where Chuck was standing. It broke through the roof and grabbed him before anyone could move.

"Thomas" he yelled. We all lunged for him but Thomas got there first. Alby then grabbed something and hit the Grievers claw until it dropped him. Alby stood there panting and we just stared. He has always been so passive. Then The Griever recoiled and grabbed Alby. Thomas grabbed his hand but he wasn't strong enough.

"Get them out" Alby said then he was jerked out onto the roof.
