WHY DID I DO THAT?!?!? It's going to be so much harder to be around her without wanting to kiss her. I wish she could just love me; that will never happen.

I look at her and she's staring at the screen blankly. Good, I was getting bored of this movie, too. "Do you want to get out of here and do something more interesting?" she whispered, looking up at me.

"Thank God, yes." I was so bored.

Once we got out to the lobby we had no idea where we wanted to go.

'If I could, if I could be one thing

Then I would, then I would be something

You can't live without because I can't live without you'

Megan's phone went off .

"Hello?" the person on the phone was hardly audible, "Yeah, I totally need something to do right now. I have a friend with me though, is that okay?" she smiled at the person's answer. "Cool, see you in a bit." And she hung up the phone.

"I know what we're doing tonight!" she exclaimed

.....

"Umm, where are we going?" I asked after driving in her Chevelle SS for about 5 minutes.

"You'll see."

I didn't argue; she's stubborn. I lose every argument before they even start.

We drove for maybe 10 more minutes and finally stopped at a house. It was two stories, white with black French doors and several windows.

You could see lights flashing in all the windows and the doors were wide open. As we walked across the lawn, we stepped over three or four kids already passed out. This was definitely a party.

'If I could, if I could be one thing...'

"Again?" I asked as Megan's phone rang

"Hey, mom!" she said into the phone

Oh great, we're so busted.

"Yeah, we got bored with the movie so we're at a party now."

I looked at her dumbfounded. She just told her mom she's at a party!

"I know, I won't drive, but can you cover for Nick? I doubt his parents are as cool as you." She looked at me and giggled at my expression. "I don't know, do you think we could get away with saying he's spending the night?... okay, call me back if it's a no-go and I won't drink."

I wish my parents were that cool.

"Love you, too. Bye."

We walked up the steps and through the front door. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by several people I didn't know, but obviously she did.

Oh, geez. I forgot I set my ringtone to that HelloHollywood song. It's the song that always reminds me of Nick when I hear it. Ugh, when did I get so corny?! This mushy-feely stuff is not like me at all!

We got out of my car and walked across the lawn to Kayden's house, stepping over passed out teenagers along the way. We had just reached the sidewalk when my mom called.
