(IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE:
This alternative chapter starts right after Miles finishes reading the Letter Alex sent him in the chapter 15. Also, this is a really triggering chapter. If you're dealing with depression or anorexia please contact a professional, seek for help. It will be okay. I love you.)

Miles teared apart the letter that he had in his hands, shoving the pieces of it into the envelope and then into a little pocket on the inside of his jacket.

"Fuck, no." He said, with anger in his voice.
Now he realized it has gone too far.

All this time he lied to Alex, he told him that he loved him when he didn't even care. All he wanted was the boy's body to please himself all the time.

He runs a hand through his hair and walks all around the little room, searching for something to calm himself down. A cigarette would help.
And finally he finds one between all the things he packed for the "big event".

"God damn it." He curses again and lights up the cigarette, trying to stay calm and somehow "positive".

Now the church bells are ringing, but; will he get there?

He's ashamed by his acts.
He didn't only lie to Alex, but also his family, his friends; everyone.
It was all an illusion he created just because of the pleasure he needed.

Meanwhile, outside this little room, at the big door in the church, a small framed pale boy walks to the altar, with his father by his side.
Alex looks up to find the absence of his fiancé and confused faces everywhere.
He's confused too, he doesn't understand what's going on, Miles was supposed to be there before him, and he's no where to be seen. Only Matt, Jamie, Jennifer and Nick are there in the front.

Alex turns to face his father with furrowed eyebrows and whispers "Did he tell you he'd be late?".
His father has no answer.

He also gives he same look to Matt, who looks like he's ready to fight someone.

The music the band was playing has slowly vanished away after Penny told them to stop. The bells aren't ringing anymore. Everything has stopped.

Miles makes his way into the church with all the eyes over him.
Alex walks to meet him, a smile on his face as he tries to understand what's going on.

"Hey everyone." The older man says in a loud tone, he already has everyone's attention.
"Why are you so late, babe? I thought i reminded you to be here at least 10 minutes before me, that's how we planned it. But it's okay if you couldn't-"
"Alex stop." He exclaimed, looking down to his feet.
"What do you mean, Miles?"
"Alex... I can't do this. I don't love you."

Everyone could hear that.
Everyone gasped.

"B-but..."
"I was lying, okay? I'm a horrible man and i'm sorry. All this time i lied to you when i said i loved you. How could you be so blind, Alex? You're just too innocent to understand."
"But Miles-" The small boy was interrupted by his taller, stronger best friend yelling "Son of a bitch!" and running down the aisle, ready to attack Miles.

Alex broke down in tears.
This isn't real, right?
Miles loved him, right?
Maybe we didn't really think this at all.
Maybe it's true; he only wanted him to please himself.

Matthew's fist met Miles' cheek at least two times, hitting hard and harder, almost knocking him out.
"You could kill me but you know it's true, Matt. I used him, i lied to him, i played with him. All that you make me bleed will mean nothing 'cause i already hurted him and this won't change anything. You're just going to ruin this beautiful carpet." He laughed, and received another punch straight to the nose that made him bleed instantly.
