Caroline Forbes put her phone down and wiped her tears off. She promised herself not to cry for a guy that would leave over and over again. It was time to start fresh. She went to the bathroom an washed her her face. She brushed her hair and put her up skilfully in a bun. Then applied make-up. She looked at herself. Yes, that was a good professional look. Just right. Ready for her news anchor interview. Her phone rang and she picked it up. It was the headhunter.
"They want you. I negotiated a great deal. No interview necessary. We are going for lunch with them - be at the Fiorello's in an hour" Lexi said.
"Seriously?!" Caroline was amazed about the news.
"They just loves your work for NOBCN. See you there"
"Yeah, see you" Caroline smiles happily.
The job was secured. At least something was going right. She scampered to look for the suit that she would wear.

In Elena's atelierElena's kiss on Elijah's lips felt like rare expanse of water bestowed on a man who walked through deserts for a very long time. She moved slightly away glancing in his eyes as if trying to find the lost connection. And it was like two souls touched one another linking again. Elijah slipped his hand gently up her neck and scrolling with his thumb down her cheek now pulled her into a kiss making Elena transport into a place where there was no time and space making her whole body tremble with the intensity his mouth, his tongue meeting hers in a glorious explosions of feelings she was searching for a while now regarding him and her.
He could feel her becoming faint and pulled out for a second as she gasped for breath a bit.
"My lovely" he whispered slightly anxious as she now beamed up at him confirming she was fine, her eyes sparkling dreamily at his.
She rushed her hands up his hair and smiled,
"I know now why I married you""You do?" he smiled back.
"Who wouldn't marry you when you kiss like that?!" she retorted.
He smiled and now pulled her in another kiss.
This was no fairy tale. The kiss didn't bring her memories back, but it cracked open a picture of the bonfire or maybe this is a mental picture she so wanted to envision.
"Missed you so much" Elijah whispered holding his wife close to him not wanting ever to let go.
Elena smiled back at him. She wished she could say that she missed him too, but unfortunately it was not so and it brought tears in her eyes.
"Hey- sweety- oh- please don't get upset" he squeezed her lightly, caressing her.
"I want to say it too" Elena sighed in frustration.
"You will. I am sure you will. All we all open up. And things will be good again" Elijah said.
Elena nodded and then asked why he had come to the Atelier.
"This place- has the best and the worst memories for me" he replied.
"Ah, ok. Tell me the best first!" Elena said.
"The best is- " he started as he took her by the hand and walked her over to a ceramic plaque she had made out of the flowers he had sent for her on New Year's Eve when he proposed- three months after they first got together on the Halloween bonfire night. "When I asked you to marry me- and you said yes. You made this flowers to remember the day"
Elena now ran with her fingers over the relief.
