Hi, Alice!

Klaus summoned his brothers for a drink after the great proposal fiasco with Caroline to enliven his dampened spirit.

"You proposed? You?" Kol could not believe he was hearing right"

"I did. It came out- but I really want to marry her. Never felt like this about any woman. Now I get you two. When you meet the one - you want to be with her all the time- you can't breath without her" Klaus looked at Elijah now seriously-"I am so sorry I wasn't there for you when Elena was- if anything happened to Caroline- I would go mad"

"Hey," Elijah put his hand on his brother's shoulder,"we said we would let bygones be bygonrs- now we're looking into the future,ok? Now we have to get you back in good books with Caroline!"

"Agree," Kol said, "so, first thing is first. You need to get a ring, cuz I don't believe you got one"

"I don't" Klaus sighed.

"Then get the most romantic setting ever" Elijah suggested.

"And whatever it is" Kol interjected chuckling,"it has to be ott and you would have to be down on your knees"

"You are loving this too much" Klaus was somewhat peeved off at his brother.

Rebekah's incoming call to Elijah broke the little arising tiff between Klaus and Kol.

"I think Rebekah just found out" Elijah pointed out  before he picked up the call and without a hello or anything similar he got the following from his sister.

"Elena's water broke and we are now heading to the hospital."

"What? When? Right" Elijah replied jumping up from hus chair and hung up.

Kol and Klaus looked at their brother with a question mark in their eyes and Elijah explained that the baby was coming.

And so everyone who was on the baby shower ended up in the hospital with Elena.

Elena was already in the room strapped on the machine to monitor her and the baby as she was no ordinary patient. Her blood pressure had been elevated in the last couple of weeks, and now it was getting higher and her OB made the decision to do a cesaren.

"I want to see Elijah" Elena said to Rebekah who sat with her."Did you get him?"

"He is on his way" Rebekah said.

"We can't wait" Dr Parker said and he indicated to the nurse to prep Elena for the OR.

As they wheeled her out of the room, Elijah arrived and he walked with them. Elena grabbed her his hand holding tight, exhaling. "You're here"

"I am here my darling" Elijah said softly.

Elena felt dizzy and now turned to Elijah, "If I don't make it-"

"Everything will be fine. I love you."

"I want you to call her Alice." Elena said

"Her?" Elijah said.

"Yes. It's going to be a girl. Please call her Alice and tell her about all our adventures."

"Elena stop talking like this. We will both tell her about our adventures."

Elena smiled faintly and nodded. As they arrived to the OR area, Elijah had to stay behind, but before they took her through and he had to let go off of her hand they both slipped,
"Love you, always"

The doors swung close and the boomerang of the old feeling when he waited for the OP years previously came crushing on.

Rebekah, as well as his brothers were there behind him, as well as her friends.

"I can't lose her" Elijah whispered painfully.

"You won't," Rebekah said, "everything is going to be all right. She hugged her brother.

Everyone waited with slight trepidation. It was the longest wait ever. It felt like many hours passed. They were all feeling for Elijah.

Caroline sat down next to Klaus and took his hand whispering a little,"I was so mad at you, but somehow all of a sudden it is so meaningless"

"I am still sorry about the way it came out." Klaus said.

"Well, I know ways you can reedem yourself." Caroline said.

"Me too" Klaus held her hand tight raising it to his lips kissing it.

Caroline snuggled up to him.

Kol and Sophie glanced at them, sharing a small smile. It was good seeing them together like that.

Elena's parents arrived and Elijah gave them the load down.

"When they discovered her blood pressure was fluctuating, she should have stayed in the hospital," Miranda said anxiously,"but she wouldn't hear of it"

Elijah agreed, but he also understood Elena refusing is.

Dr Parker then came out smiling giving Elijah, and everyone present the happy news that both mother and daughter were fine and that soon he will be able to see them.

The relief and joy Elijah felt could not be described. He was not aware of all the congratulations and hugs placed onto him. He thought of Elena and Alice.

And so, still in a daze he went to the room where they brought Elena and Alice from the OR.

Elena was still pretty drowsy from the meds received, but she smiled happily as she saw him.

"Hey- I love you" he said to his wife, who responded with the same sentiment. He then turned to his baby daughter sleeping in the cot next to her mother's  bed,"Hi, Alice."
