My mom arrived home early. Why was that? Usually she left me with the old demon bat, Mrs. Clockdown.
Mrs. Clockdown would make me sit for hours. She would make me clean her, gag, shoes. Her shoes were like someone went dumpster diving, threw up and then jumped in the kitty litter box. Just they were 15 000 0000 000 000 00 times worse. She was old, cruel and reminded me of those bat, demon ladies in Greek mythology. The Furies from the underworld. Just instead of torturing the souls of the damned, she was torturing my very much alive soul. I hated her. I was ten not a baby. I didn't need a baby sitter. Just my luck that surprisingly my mom came home e early and caught her in the act. Making me clean her shoes. Ew.
'What are you doing, Robyn?' she asked me curiously. I hated Mrs. Clockdown so I told her the truth. Her face became very, very red. She stormed into the living room where Mrs. C was watching her show. Knitting, like nothing was wrong. She looked up and saw that I was there behind my mum. Ohhhhhh, she was in trouble.
'Mrs. C! Explain why my daughter is like Cinderella and cleaning you filthy shoes!' she yelled at her. She is so going to get fired. Yes. This is the best thing ever. I hate her. I could see a glare forming on her face staring at me through her glasses. Goodbye Mrs. C and hello FREEDOM!
'Why didn't you tell me sooner?' my mom asked with concern in her voice. But clearly she was curious why.Once the Bat was gone.
'Because she would kill me. She scares me and I just did it for that reason only. Being scared mum! I felt like a slave from the olden days. You know too scared to escape but not hopeless!' I said. I was relieved that she was gone.
'Um, mom. I kinda had this vision of her. But the vision was of her ripping me to spreads if I told you! So I didn't!'
'But if you saw that and your still alive that means you are mastering your powers. Your figuring out what to do to change some horrible future. You changed your future a d changed it to a good one. Now always remember... The visions aren't what will happen but what can happen.' she sad with a smile on her face.
I am mastering my powers, yes, this means I can change things in the future! I thought to myself. Then my mom dropped a Bombshell on me!
'I'm marrying Marvin! He proposed to me!' Marvin is my mom's boyfriend but now it seems he's her fiance. This is OK with me because he is the coolest guy ever. He is so nice. He is the opposite of Cinderellas stepmother and sisters.
'When?' I asked curiously. I was getting quite exited because my mom needed a person to look after her. If anyone, it was him. I loved the guy, he was something else. My face must've looked different to how I felt because my mom frowned at me. Just so you know my mom sucks at reading emotions and always gets confused between some of them.
'One week from now!'

The Next Day.

'Wake up, Robyn. Its time to go and get ready.'  I opened my eyes and saw it was Monday! I had to go downstairs and get my books ready for my first lesson. English!
'Mom, can't I sleep in and do classes later?' I said sluggishly.
'Im sorry Robyn but we need to Go dress shopping. The wedding is in a week!'
'Ok, that sounds fun. I get to help you find the best wedding dress ever!'
'Ok, but I have to like it to.' I jumped out of bed, ran into the closet and fell to the ground.
Look where you are going Robyn. I thought to myself.
I picked out my outfit for the day: a pair of black tights with a black T-shirt with matching black and white converse. Let me think your wondering why black and black and black? Well its because first its the main colour in my closet also its a neutral colour. So don't you dare think I'm Goth or anything. Lots of people like black and aren't Goth so don't judge. Also I hate dresses that was the worst thing about the wedding. I am the flower girl and I have to wear a dress. But don't worry about me I'll just put shorts underneath.

We wondered from shop to shop. Mom always asked my opinion on the dress. But none seemed her style. Finally we came to the last shop other day. We walked in and saw all the beautiful elegant dresses. My eyes were immediately drawn to the dress in the corner. I was 3/4 sleeved with lots of lace, mom would love it. I picked it up and pushed mom to the fitting room. She tried it on. She came out it was a perfect fit. She looked so happy.

'I love it, were getting it!'
'I kinda like it! But I don't really think we would get it.' my mom's friend said.
'It was not a question, its a statement! Were getting it!'
My mom went and changed into her usual clothes. We bought it and walked home. One week and I would have a step dad. One week and I could Play catch with him. One week and I could ask my dad about how to talk to boys without stuttering uncontrolably. When I am older I WON'T STUTTER! You see I have a crush on a guy at the school nearby. He is ten as well and I was riding my bike around the block when I saw him go into the school. That was a funny day since I was just staring at him at the gate of the school. Something really weird happened.... I
