Ally's house was only a few blocks from school. But as we were walking, I noticed that someone with a dark hoodie was following us. He was wearing all black. At first I thought he only lived in the direction of her house and was walking home too. But then I noticed that he WAS following us. He was creepy and all stalker like. He kept following us. Ally didn't seem to notice.
'Don't look now but I think someone is following us.' Of course she looked. She made it look normal by adding...
'The trees look so much better in England.' What? Well she was good at covering it up. She then turned to me.
'He's been following me from England. I don't know why but he's not good news. When I give the signal run. Just run. Follow me but keep running no matter what. Until we reach my house, OK?'
'Sure. What's the signal?'
'Now!' She ran forward not a glance backward.
'Well that was subtle.' I said sarcastically. We were running and we were a good block or so ahead of him. For a stalker he can't run fast. Suddenly...
'Ohh, let's cross the road!' Said Ally with a squeal.
'Why?' Then I saw where we were running too. You've got to be kidding me. Standing on the other side of the road was a boy, he looked about our age. He was about my height, which gave him a head on Ally. He had bleak brown eyes, and platinum blonde hair. He was looking down at his phone, when...
'Hey, I'm Ally and this is Robyn. Can I have your number, quickly?' I face palmed. Really Ally, we're getting chased and all you can think of is this random guy and his phone number.
'Earth to Ally, we are getting chased? We need to go? In a hurry?'
'Shhh, well I know that but WAIT, I'm hurrying cause I'm getting his number fast. Now give me a second.' She put the number into her phone by now he was half a block away. She finished it.
'Thanks, Boo. Bye. I'll call you.'
And we resumed our chase. We finally got back to Ally's house.
'EXPLAIN. Now! Who was chasing us and why?'
'This might be a lot to take in but.... That guy back there, he killed my mom in London. Then he followed me here. The only thing keeping us safe is my cousin. She...she has the power to make force field.'
'Force fields? So...that would mean that you have powers?'
'Yes, I have Telepathy. Back at school, I read your mind. I came across the memories of him. I'm so sorry.'
'Wait. You have telepathy?' I thought I was the only one. So there are others out there. This feels like the XMen. What if they're real too? Her voice appeared in my head.
'What do you mean? Do you also have powers?'
'Stop reading my mind. But yes. I do. I wonder why you can't read that part of my memory.'
'Maybe cause you don't like remembering it so you hide it. Therefore I can't see it. Now Spill, what are your powers? I'm intrigued!'
'Don't freak out but I can see the past and future using reflective objects. That's why I wear glasses, but now these contact lenses. They help stop me blacking out in everything reflective exept mirrors.'
'Cool. That must be awesome. At least you don't have people's voices in your head all day.'
'Yeah but I see what is going to happen and it's so annoying. I wish I saw Matt cheating on me coming then I would have never dated him or told him my secret.'
'But he didn't cheat on you. I read his mind. He didn't. He's been trying to tell you. Hazel kissed him and one of her minions took the photo to break you guys up. Then those comments were her minions. He pushed her off.' She said quite calmly.
'WHAT? Are you kidding me? I didn't even give him a chance. Aargh!! What's wrong with me?'
'Nothing but if I was you I'd...' She was interrupted by a ping from her phone. She looked down. 'Ooh!' She said with a squeal.
'Who's that?'
'Aaron. He's that guy from the bus stop. We started talking.'
'Don't you mean tex...' I stopped myself cause she wasn't even typing. She was looking at the screen and the keyboard was going by itself.
'You can type with no hands? How can you, Wait is that cause if your telekinesis?'
'Yeah. I just figured out how to do it. Cool hey?'
'Yeah. So what's he saying?'We just lay on her bed talking about our complicated lives for a few hours. Most of the time we were talking and at the same time she was NHT. No Hand Texting. It was cool. She was talking to the guy from the bus stop. Eventually she typed.
'So my schools got this spring dance coming up, would you like to go with me?'
'So does my school. What school do you go to?'
'I go to Greenridge High. You?'
'Same. We can go together. What grade you in?'
'I'm in grade 12. You?'
'I'm in grade 10. So I'll see you at the Ball. Aaron.'
'You too. Bye❤️❤️😘'
'You British people are weird. You see some random guy at a traffic light, and you ask for his number? Who does that?' I said.
'Well you have to admit, he's not bad on the eyes.' Said Ally with a naughty smile.
'Would say that but I have a boyfriend that I need to apologize to. And I. Am. Not. The. Kind. Of. Person. Who. Cheats. Thank you Ally, so much.' I said my farewells and went on my way. I ran to Matts house. Hopefully he was there in his room. I knocked on the door. His mom, Emily opened.
'Well hello dear. Matt told me what happened. It seems you figured it out. You can go up he's in his room.'
'Thank you.' I ran up the stairs to his room. 'MATT! We need to talk.' Matt looked up from his pile of homework. He gave me that heart warming smile and crossed the distance between us in seconds. Before I knew it his lips were in mine.
'You know I'd never cheat on you. Especially with Hazel. I don't do looks. I do personality. I love you!'
'I love you too.'
