this short story is loosely based off the song Sad Machine by Porter Robinson

-what does the song actually mean? Sad Machine is about a robot who is found by a human after millions of people were killed in an explosive accident or such. The world is corrupt and destroyed and the only person the robot has is the person who found it. The robot begins to feel things like sadness and love for the human but realizes that it will be alone again after the human dies. This is still a vague description, so I would look it up if I were you.
-so what part of the meaning did you actually use? uh, this part:

-why write Sad Machine? It's one of my favorite songs and the idea of a robot experiencing happiness and love for the first time seemed cute. + I'd never found a fanfiction like it so why not?
-why is Sad Machine so short? I wanted to create kind of a short story that wouldn't take a long time to read. Usually in song fics, people take the lyrics and put that into the story but sad machine is very repetitive so there wasn't much to work with.
-is Sad Machine 100% completed? no. there may be more chapters in the future and it's my plan to go back and rewrite some chapters too. and who knows? I'm debating, but who doesn't like a good prequel?
UPDATE: THE PREQUEL IS UP AND COMPLETED. ITS CALLED SEA OF VOICES.
-any plans for the future? like I said, I want to edit and rewrite hardcore. I feel like the very short chapters have the tendency to leave some confused. oh, and I am very appreciative for the nominations and votes in fanfiction awards or the wattys. I would never ask anything of you all as readers- as I know you're here probably for the sole reason of entertainment- but any input or support makes me smile, so thank you.
-but now I have a question for you guys. not all of you, but if this is you then hey > I can see how many reads each part of the story has, and I can see that the very last chapter of sad machine has like much more reads than the one before it. does this mean some of you are just reading a little bit and then skipping to the very end??? how is that fun or beneficial??? just asking because it confuses me :/
