CHAPTER 11: Arrange Marriage

It's been years since i last updated this, i apologize for that.

Arnie's POV

It's been a week since that incident happen, and it's been a week since i tried talking to dad. After i get discharged, he keeps on ignoring me. I tried my best to explain it to him but he never say a word. Thank God mom was always there saying he'll talk to him, and so i should not worry.

I could feel that he's beyond disappointed this time, compared to my bully incidents. The news also spread to the whole university days after. Some students feel bad for what happen, but some of them said i deserve it.

"Hey are you alright?" says Paige while giving  me my order. We're here at the school cafeteria having lunch

"How are you and tito? Nag-usap na ba kayo?"

"Not yet, i feel like he doesn't want to talk to me yet." i said sadly as i started to eat my food

Just like Paige, i'm grounded. Nakwento niya rin na dad wen't to their house to apologize personally for what happen. And she said that he was really angry at me. 

I felt my phone vibrates and immediately grab it from my pocket.

"Honey, your dad wants to talk to you after dinner. It seems important, come home early okay? I love you"

"Okay mom, love you too!"

I could feel my heart beating so fast and my breathing became heavy. Paige notice it and offered me a glass of water and drank it

"Hey are you okay? What happen?" she said worriedly 

"Its mom, she said dad wants to talk to me after dinner."

"Really? That's a good thing right? Finally he wants to talk to you. Don't overthink to much, everything will be alright okay." giving me a tap on my back

"I hope so." i said before heading back to our room

But i can't stop thinking what could it be? I know something will gonna happen, i could feel it. I guess this will be my consequences for the things I've done. 

*Time Skipped*

We're almost done eating and wala man lang ni isa sa amin ang gustong magsalita. I wanted to say something but i couldn't get the right words to say. Dad clears his throat and looked at me before finally speaking.

"So how's school?" i glance at mom and she just nodded, reassuring me that everything's fine

"Everything is okay dad" i replied, he just nodded and drink his wine. 

Arn say something again will you? 

"D-dad, about what happen at the park, i-im really sorry." i said in a crack voice before looking down while mom caresses my hand. Magsasalita sana ako ulit pero biglang nagsalita si dad.

"Forget about that, that's not the real reason why i wanted to talk to you." i look at him and saw his face emotionless. 

"I've been thinking about this a long time ago, you will be graduating a year from now, so i decided to arrange your marriage immediately after your graduation."

I choke after hearing what he said, mom gives me a glass of water and drink it. 

"Albert are you serious about that? How come you never told me about this? What are you thinking?"

"Honey i'm really sorry but my decision is final. It's for her future, trust me on this."

I was just crying silently the whole time they were arguing. So it was already planned? I can't believe that dad already decides my future. Is this the consequences he was talking about? But this is too much! This can't be serious right?

"Dad, i'm not marrying someone i don't even know and love." i said in a low voice without looking at him, but to be honest, i wanted to shout it so loud. 

"You heard me Arnie Jade, it was all set, my decision is final. Whether you like it or not, you will be marrying Mr. Alvares's son." my eyes immediately got wider after hearing it. Wait A-Alvares? You mean...

"You got to be kidding me dad!" i stood up and was about to leave but say my last word without looking at them 

"You're so unfair dad, i know i always disappoints you, but this? This is too much, you can't decide on my future just like that. I hate you!"

I could hear mom calling  me but i ignored her and rush back to my room crying. This can't be happening! Of all people bakit siya pa? Bakit!?
