Chapter 3: Forgiveness

Normal P.O.V.

Everybody looks at Levy in astonishment while Gajeel is just smirking at his girlfriend. Once everyone snaps out of their confusion they also join in and start yelling at the demon to release Natsu and question him about what is going on.

The demon says nothing and simply struggles against the cuffs. "Release me at once!" the demon protests. "Not until you give Natsu back." Levy says with a sternness in her voce. The demon just simply sighs and says "Like I said before he just simply doesn't want to come out." "And we said you were lying." Erza shouts. "Listen you people know absolutely nothing about your so called friend Natsu, well in his defense he didn't know about himself either." E.N.D. says. "So when he did get his memories back he couldn't take it, sure as hell made my job easier." The demon finishes. "You keep talking about memories what do you mean?" Lucy asks. E.N.D. just looks at everyone and smirks, "So after all of the research you people you did you never found out, well this will be fun." He says. "Alright I've heard enough. Take him into the Fairy Tail jail cell." Makarov says, everyone just now realizing he was on the balcony the whole time. "We will continue this conversation there, and no one say a word of this to anyone outside of Fairy Tail, I fear what will happen if the magic council catches wind of this." Makarov finishes. Everyone nods in agreement as Lucy, Gray, Erza, Gajeel, Wendy, and Levy take him down to the Fairy Tail jail cell.

Levy walks into the cell and creates chains to attach to the wall of the cell. Gajeel then pulls E.N.D. into the cell and attaches the cuffs to the chains. As he is doing so E.N.D. just stares at Levy with squinty eyes, "As soon as I break out of here I'm going to come after you first." He says with a smirk on his face.

Suddenly E.N.D. feels a calloused hand wrap around his throat as he is slammed against the wall with such force that it causes a dent. Gajeel snarls at the demon in front of him as his grasp around his neck only tightens.

The demon simply looks at the dragon slayer with bored eyes, "And why are you getting so angry? According to this guy's memory you already had your fun with her when you first met." Gajeel's grip around E.N.D. loosens as he looks at the ground, "And that is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life," At hearing that Levy looks at Gajeel with sadness in her eyes realizing that Gajeel still thinks about that day. However Gajeel's grip suddenly tightens again and he stares the demon in the eyes with such conviction that it surprises the demon, "but like hell will I ever let her go through something like that again, by me or anyone else." As he finishes he releases E.N.D. and storms out of the cell and begins to walk up the stairs leading back up to the main building.

"Gajeel wait!" He hears Levy yell as he feels two petite arms wrap around his own. Gajeel refuses to look at the small girl but stops his ascension of the stairs. "I don't ever want to be reminded of that day again, it was the worst day of my life, but I deserve to be reminded of it, I don't deserve to forget it." Gajeel says still refusing to look at Levy. "Gajeel I have forgiven and forgotten about that day a long time ago." Levy says in hope of making him feel better. "How?" Gajeel asks while Levy just looks at him with confusion. Gajeel then turns around and sits on one of the steps and puts his head in his hands. "I still don't understand, even after all of these years, how did you forgive me?" He continues to ask. "Because I knew that wasn't the real you, the real you will protect me from anything, lightening, a dark guild, or even from yourself." Gajeel doesn't say anything as he continues to just sit there. "I forgave you because I learned how much you love everyone in Fairy Tail, even though you may deny it. I forgave you because you don't ever want to lose someone precious to you again. I forgave you because I fell in love with you." Levy says and by the end of her little speech her tiny hands were on top of his own. Gajeel turns his hands around so they can wrap around hers and squeezes them ever so gently. "I love you too." Gajeel says. And just like that time when Levy woke up after basically rebuilding the city, Gajeel kisses the woman he loves more than anything, Levy.

A/N- So this was basically a Gajevy chapter but I absolutely love this ship and with what is happening in the manga right now I really wanted to write it.
