Chapter 8: Stay

Natsu's P.O.V.

I wake up to see Lucy snuggled up next me. I smile down at her as I brush my hand through her hair.

Soooo that was fun. E.N.D.'s voice speaks up and the smile on my face falls immediately. 'Why are you here.' I say. Oh well I'm sorry allow me to leave, oh wait, I'm insIDE YOU! E.N.D. yells. I roll my eyes, 'What do you want' I ask. No cuffs, I want control. 'That's funny.' I respond. Aren't you tired? Isn't the pain getting the better of you? Having your organs slowly dying and your magic slowly drained isn't the most pleasant feeling. He tries and talk me out of it. 'I'm not going to take a few hours of a relief over the risk of you hurting my friends.' I say getting seriously pissed at him. I'm not going to hurt them, I just want to get out of here, maybe go and see some dark guild if they know any spells. Besides do you really want your friends to watch while you slowly die? I don't say anything for a bit but then Lucy stirs a little in her sleep. 'We are not going anywhere and you can have control once I am back in the cuffs.'

"Natsu?" Lucy asks. "Yah Luce." I say. "Natsu! Natsu wait! Please!" Lucy starts to yell. "Lucy! Wake up I'm right here! Lucy open your eyes!" I yell shaking her shoulders. Lucy finally wakes up while taking in a big gasp of air.

She looks around frantically and when she finally sees me her eyes immediately change from terror to relief as she wraps her arms around me. I can feel her body shivering as she tightens her grip on me. I rub her back to try and sooth her and after a minute it seemed to have worked.

"Luce are you ok?" I ask while she is still hugging me. "Y-Yah, just... remembering." She mutters. I continue to rub her back and I kiss the top of her head. "It'll be okay. I'm here." I say and probably feeling the guiltiest I've ever felt in my whole lie. She moves her head up and down against her chest as she finally let's go of me. "I should probably go and get changed." She says looking down at the clothes she wore yesterday. "Alright, I'll see you later." She gives me a smile and a peck on the lips before she leaves the cell and shuts the door.

Once she is gone I walk over to the cuffs and put them back on. I sit down against the wall and close my eyes letting the demon take control of my body, but while I am doing this I keep on thinking to the words I told Lucy.

After about an hour I hear the door open again a small puff ball of blue fur comes flying in. "Natsu!" Happy says with a big smile on his face. "Nope" E.N.D. says. I know I need to take back control of my body but I felt too exhausted, I need at least another hour of rest. I can apologize and talk to Happy later.

Hearing E.N.D.'s response I see Happy's expression drop immediately. "I want to talk to Natsu." Happy says demanding, something I rarely hear. "He can't come at the moment." E.N.D. says annoyed. "Why?" Happy asks. "Cause he doesn't want to talk to you." He says. When he says that I try to take back control but I'm still exhausted so I stop.

"AAGG jeez give me a little warning!" The demon yells at me due to me trying to take the reigns suddenly. Because of the demons/my sudden yelling Happy looks concerned and seemed to have gotten worried. E.N.D. looks at the cat and from what I can tell he seems to feel a little pity for the cat. He sighs and explains to Happy, "He's tired alright. That's why he can't talk to you right now." "Didn't he get rest last night though?" Happy pushes farther. "Uuuhh... listen, when two people- GAHH OK!" He yells after I immediately try and take control again. "I'll just come back later, he will still be here later right?" "Yes..." "And he will stay the next day, and the day after that right? He won't... leave me again right?" Happy asks his back facing towards "me" and from his tone I can only assume that there are tears in his eyes. "Ugh would you just leave puff ball!" E.N.D. yells getting irritated again. And with that Happy popped out his wings and flew off.

The demon wearing my skin then leaned againstthe wall and let out a sigh. All I do is keep sitting there thinking andthinking and thinking.... What were you saying about dark guilds might knowingsomething? And at that statement I could tell a huge smirk formed on his,my face.
