Craving the touch
Wanting to clutch
Wanting every curve in my hand
Spinning as we dance to the band
I hold on as if you're my crutch
I didn't know I need you so much
I breathe you like a drug
All I want is to hug
Your eyes seem to wander
Looking over yonder
My heart gave a lug
As I saw your face of smug
My eyes begin to search
As my heart gave a lurch
I see her stare
And I begin to flair
She sat there on her perch
I knew then that you had smirch
I then made a motion
Getting rid of the potion
You see me stop
Only looking to see my teardrop
My cheek slick like lotion
And your eyes no longer look like the ocean
All I can do is shake my head
The only thing left of my heart is a shred
I can't look the other way any longer
I know I have to be stronger
I could only feel my dread
As I walk away dead
You try to make me halt my action
Only getting my reaction
I no longer can stand this
I said with a hiss
You have committed an infraction
And I no longer have an attraction
Then you could only ask of what you did wrong
Saying it like you are quoting a song
Do not try to pretend
I see your eyes on your girlfriend
I will no longer play along
I already discovered her thong
I said in disbelief
It was all in lief
You could only stare with your clean eyes
I did not was all of your cries
I could not see any grief
Which gave me no relief
I tried to deny
Not wanting to pry
But I knew that they were all just lies
Almost like I was scared to loose my prize
I even did cry
But you'd only say good bye
Letting me know of the truth
You've always gone for more youth
I say with such a face of anger
I am sure it created a clangor
I watch as you show off a tooth
You try to play it smooth
I did no such thing
You say as I hand you my ring
You continue to preach
As if it's a speech
I say as my heart begins sloughing
I turn away as if you are my fling

Yay, finally got my best poem in here. I love this one, no matter how sad it is. Did you like it? What is your favorite line?

Fun Fact: I spent an hour writing this one, and had to get up early the next day. That wasn't fun in the morning but totally worth it. This one is really personal to me, which I think makes it my favorite poem that I've written so far.
