We pull into my driveway. I turn off the truck. "Wanna come in for a few?" I ask, pointing to my house.

"Um, sure." She says, about to open her door.

"No no no, stop!" I say and run over to her side of the truck. I open her door. "There we go. The universe is in balance again." I say jokingly.

She laughs; she has such a cute laugh.

"Did it kill you inside not to be able to open my door at the view?" She asks.

"Yes ma'am. I am really surprised that  you didn't hear my soul dying." I answer, putting my hand on my heart.

She laughs really loud and snorts. She covers her mouth. "That was weird." She says.

     "Nah, it's cute." I say.

We're sitting on the couch, laughing and joking. We've been sitting here for an hour. It's about 6:02 a.m. right now.

I love this so much. I haven't been this happy in a long time. She has brought out my happy side again. No girl has done this to me before. It literally has been a day but.......am I in love with her? This seems so unrealistic and like something you'd just read about in fairytales but this may actually be happening right now, if she feels the same.

     "Hey Makiah?" I ask.

     "Yeah?" She asks.

I grab her hand, running my thumb back and forth across hers. "I know that it has only been a day but I honestly haven't been this happy in a long time." I say.

She sighs. She's going to reject me.......I feel it.

She then smiles. Okay, maybe not??

"Me too. It's crazy." She says. "But please don't ask me to be yours anytime soon." She says.

"What? Why?" I ask, looking over at her.

"Because, I'm not one to move fast with things. I want this done in a way that feels right. I want you to prove that you can wait for me as long as it takes." She says. "I promise that it won't take forever though."

"Of course, darling." I say, kissing her on her head.

She falls asleep shortly after that conversation. I don't want her to sleep on the couch so I carry her to my bed and set her down gently. I cover her up. I make myself a bed on the ground.
