"Congratulations, it is a healthy baby girl." The nurse says as she wraps the baby in a blanket and walks the baby out of the room to clean her up.

"What are we going to name her?" The father asks as he moves closer to the mother.

"We are not going to name her. I will be naming her." She says with some venom in her voice.

"Lisa, she is my child too." Mathew pleads with her.

"I said you could sign the certificate to actually be her father, but you were not there for the nine months I carried this child. She is in no way, your child!" Lisa snaps back as the nurse walks into the room.

"Ok, I have the birth certificate. What is her name?" She asks taking a seat near the bed.

"Samantha Marie Williams" Lisa says.
"Ok, if you could both sign on the correct lines I can bring her in to actually meet you." The nurse says passing the parents the birth certificate.

"There, now you are legally her father, and you can fly back off to Genovia and continue your duties as Prince, and leave the two of us alone." Lisa says once they both had signed the legal document.

"Lisa, this child deserves to know her parents. I am not saying that we stick her on a plane every other week, I am asking you again. Please, marry me and join me in Genovia." Mathew pleads but Lisa just turns away.

"Matt, I wish I could. But I am not the type of person you should marry, you deserve better than me." She says as the nurse walks into the room with their little bundle of joy. She passes the baby first to Mathew and once Samantha is in his arms she smiles for the first time. There is a click and Matt realizes someone took a photo of the two. He passes Samantha to her mom and then slowly gathers his stuff.

"If you change your mind you know where to find me. But if I have not heard from either of you by the time her 16th birthday comes around I will get in contact. She deserves to know who I am." He says before walking out of the room and heading back to Genovia where his life will never be the same.

Lisa's mom documented every moment of Samantha's childhood years. She took videos of her learning to walk, her first words, everything. She wrote letters to Mathew and would send him the videos yearly. Trying to keep Mathew involved in Samantha's life. Mathew would write letters to Samantha, but Allison (Lisa's mom) never was able to read them to Samantha. She kept them in a special box, a box to be given to her when Lisa actually tells her about her father.

As Samantha grew up Lisa began dating a man named Ben. As time went on and the relationship got more serious, Samantha began to think that Ben was her father and no one ever corrected her. Things got bad when Ben came into the picture. Lisa focused so much on Ben that Samantha was neglected. Ben was actually abusing her. On the verge of Child Services getting involved, Allison moved into a bigger house. One big enough for her and Samantha both. Samantha moved in with her grandmother but that never stopped the "fun" that was Ben and Lisa.

(Hello all of my wonderful readers, thank you for being patient with me. I started my first semester of college this fall and it has been a huge adjustment and I have not really had enough time to finish and edit this to get it reader ready. So now, it is complete and I am pretty sure I have caught all of my mistakes. So here we go. I'm going to be uploading the first three chapters tonight, I feel horrible for making you all wait so long for this story, so this is my gift to you. I will be doing weekly updates from there. I really hope you all enjoy this and feel free to leave me comments!)
